So here we are.

The day started out like any other, we got up and out of bed. Prepared to get up and go. As we drove in to the city and to the botanical park most where wondering 'Where on earth are we meant to be??' So after about half an hour we all found the spot. sorta. . . eventually.

After we all go there, Sat down and had lunch.

Then some one got out their light-sabre and war began. Free for all, not sure who won.

Then as the Kookster was going back to her bag for something she was HIT !!! With water from a water gun thingy, . . .WAR broke out as Kooky unleashed her brand new super soaker and started to fill it up.

After the War, (LIGTH SIDERS WON !! ) The kids went and played cricket with the bigger kids And Others Went and played Footy.

THEN the Amazing AD found the X-mas tree So with Kooky's 'gentle' help the tree was decorated . . .
And we got the next gen to come and take pictures and sing a song.

More light-sabre duels with the older kids. And Frisbees and just general chit chat. Life was sweet. . . especially with all the sugar up for offer.

But alas it soon became time to leave. *sob* people started to pack up and leave. At 4pm it was over.

Thou admittedly there are some of you i only had a brief few words with. Others I missed and DAMN IT some one should of told me the saber fighting was going on i would of gone much later lol

Great day guys. I was rather tired and antisocial (I could've sat there reading the paper till the sun went down) but it was the first day in quite a while I've been able to chill.

Lots of smiling (and evil )faces I haven't seen in quite a while

 

Life of a school teacher (especially over the last month, which has been bonkers) makes me appreciate the quiet (albeit wet ) Sunday arvo picnic.

I had fun! Just quietly

 

I didn't steal Fox's water gun - he gave it to me!! Actually, he handed it to me while we were in the car, just after he'd squirted the three cars on the road in front of us that just happened to contain other members of FFSA! I have a feeling that's where the water wars began.......


Life as a schoolteacher must be exhausting Oz-Skipp, I know what I was like after only 5 weeks of being in a classroom. I love the fact that I'm doing children's literature as a subject next year, which means I may be studying alongside your lovely lady.

If E-I reads this, he needs to go have a look at Brun's icons page - there's an excellent one of you there!

All in all, a good day had by all, even those of us who were having trouble keeping our eyes open!

 

I don't personally know about School Teachers but I do know about School Services Officers and my hubby has been seriously stressed in the last term trying to get everythning done for everyone else.

Anyone know someone I could borrow a motorbike from to give him a treat, since his motorbike is broken beyond repair and we just cant afford to replace it?

Well as a northerner where its getting cold right now seeing pictures of a christmas picnic is a little odd.
