It's is still shipping the the 9th got an email from sws when i asked.
This would be the worst Valentine's gift since the Cubic Zirconia!
Happy Thanksgiving! ( I know it's a chicken. It's the best I could do)
Just cancelled mine, actually. This may be the first figure I don't want.
It reminds me of the movie Zorro the Gay Blade, in which Zorro sustains an injury which forces his effeminate brother to take over for him temporarily. The brother prefers to dress in bright, flamboyant colors rather than standard Zorro black. He has an all-red outfit, an all-yellow one, etc. This figure could be Vader the Gay Saber.
Well, mine just shipped so I guess they arn't delayed or redesigned... oh well.
*Admits to ordering one from r2dtoys*
I haven't gotten it yet though but they have it as shipping now.
Somehow I think this figure will the object of many a fans airing of grievances towards Hasbro for Festivus.
I'd buy a Star Wars-themed Festivus pole before I'd buy the red Vader!
FRANK COSTANZA: And at the Festivus dinner, you gather your family (or in this case, Hasbro) around, and you tell them all the ways they have disappointed you over the past year.
KRAMER: Is there a tree?
FRANK COSTANZA: No. Instead, there's a pole. It requires not decoration. I find tinsel distracting.
I say we should start an airing of grievances thread here in the forum for Festivus.
I got this comin and i can't wait i love the RM background.
plus almost everyone hates so i gotta have it
Laj I should demote you for ordering it
I thought long & hard about it Mike. In the end the packaging won me over. I'm hoping the figure looks better in person.
I got mine out of the blue in the mail on Saturday. The wreath is cool, but the Vader Figure still sucks eggs. I'm almost ashamed to put him next to my Jawa and Yoda holiday sets.
Ick. Thank God I ordered the Wedge figure instead.
got mine, like it!!
it's more of a metallic shiny red than i thought.
and the card and wreath are great.
don't know if anyone has said this yet.. but.... it is the figures that no one buys that wind up worth money one of these days.. because the ones that never sold normally get tossed and you wind up with very few on the market.. hence the value skyrockets.. now this doesn't happen to all things.. but it is the general trend on value of items.. the less there are.. the more they are worth.. think of the Edsel.. and then think of how few of them exist.. and the fact that though they are a namesake.. nobody wanted one of them.. they were considered lemons of the car industry.
Who knows. Perhaps in 1,000 years even Holiday Vader will be worth something.
Well that make it worth it then. I'll get 2, and pass them down so several generations down, my ancestor can make a quick buck. Or to save on storage space, I'll leave them a note to buy metallic red paint, and the latest Vader figure. (Hasbro will probably still be using the same mold )

But first you must bury it in the sand, which is exactly where this figure belongs. I only got one because I want to keep my Christmas set complete.
I got mine today from r2dtoys. It doesn't look that bad 'in person'. I kinda like the red.
