    My 70s childhood would not have been the same without Dracula and Rochefort, but Lee's career renaissance with Attack of the Clones and Fellowship of the Rings brought him to the attention of a younger generation of moviegoers, and I'm very pleased that an 80 year old man could enjoy a new career peak as an actor that lasted a decade and a half.

    yeah, when most 90 something year old actors die the general reaction is "they were still alive?" it is really cool the he was able to stay relevant for so long. truly a legend.

    In addition to the (literal) record-breaking number of film roles, in addition to being nobility (a descendant of Charlemagne), in addition to making heavy metal albums in his eighties and nineties :eek:, he did black-ops missions in WW2 alongside Ian Fleming and was the likely inspiration for James Bond.

    The man was truly epic.

    Indeed. He volunteered to fight in the winter campaign in Finland and was one of the first Inglorious Basterds, serving for the Office of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

    What a tragedy. Rest in Peace, Sir Christopher Lee, Knight of the Realm of the United Kingdom. His contributions greatly enriched the Star Wars universe, as well as the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films (and James Bond).

    When you think of how so many actors hit 60 and start to coast (not that I'm blaming them for it), it's pretty impressive to see Lee working into his 90s and bringing his best efforts.

    The Man with the Golden Gun. Ahh…childhood memories. Saw it once when I was a kid but never forgot Sir Christopher Lee's role in it. Awesome.
