gotcha..wow..i don't know about that. I guess it's easier to see other actors playing the PT roles cause it's the newer trilogy. (whereas can you imagine some actors playing the OT roles after 28 years). Kinda hard to imagine someone else being Anakin.

I've never seen him in anything. I think Hayden does a great job with the role, though.

..although, and I'm going to get pelted for this but whatever, Leonardo diCaprio would actually have been just fine had he been an unknown. He's a very good actor and looks a lot more like Jake Lloyd.

Of course, Hayden looks a TON like Mark now. So I think it's all worked out just fine*

*except the usually good Natalie Portman doesn't give a rip about SW and just punches the clock

Actually, I think Cristopher Masterson would fit the role as Anakin Skywalker quite nicely, unless I had previously seen him in a comedy show.

 

Too bad he looks nothing like Luke or Leia. His brother does that 70s show and I think they got to dress up as star wars characters in one episode so it's all good.

 

If I hadn't seen him on Malcom in the Middle I could see it but I don't think he'd be better than Hayden.

Except, Hayden doesn't look like Luke and Leia any more than Christopher Masterson. When I saw the title to this thread, I thought, "Wow, he does look like the twins."

Either way, Hayden is fine- I think he's a better choice than Chris in that he displays anger really well.

...you do realise that RotS Hayden looks scarily like RotJ Luke, right? Not exactly alike, but there most definitely looks like a positive family resemblance there.

Chris does look like a grown up version of the Anakin in TPM though...

And it just amazes me how much Lloyd grew up to look like Shaw.

I haven't seen any specific pictures that make me think that, I guess. I'm kind of avoiding them. I think the face shape is very different, whereas Jake Lloyd, Bernard Shaw, and Mark Hamill all have rounder faces. *shrug*
