Here's the Thread from the Rebel Legion. I highly recommend we all jump on this. It'll be fun AND A good way to get the word out about our group.

Heck Yeah! I know I'll be out of one weekend due to the monthly horse show and Memorial day weekend for my mom's b-day, but the other two I'd be more than happy to do something for this!

 

I think that sounds like a great idea. I would be more than happy to help out.

I am an employee of PLCH and am letting them use a lot of my collectibles for displays. We are looking for anyone interested in helping with displays and also anyone who might have any contacts with sci fi authors, comic artists, etc. to appear at the event.

If you are interested in helping or know how to contact anyone like I listed above, let me know.

Also, if you are able to attend, we would love to have you.

I need to confirm people who are able show up for this. I'm working on getting some quotes on banners and business cards.

Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County
Saturday, May 5th, 2007
10:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Primary need is for costumed characters for photo opportunties, volunteer help in gaming rooms, droid hunt
This is a family friendly FREE event, so spouses and kids are very welcome.
Activities include:
Droid Hunt
Photo area
Forums
Gaming rooms with video, board, RPG, miniatures, including one for little kids.
Kid craft area
intergalatic roadshow
Keynote author-TBA
costume parade
fencing demos by Xavier University fencing club

There may be additions to this list as plans are firmed up.
Any help is appreciated.
If you are local to Cincinnati there will be additional events happening at the branches on weeknights and Saturdays.

 

So far, I don't have anything planned for that day, and helping in the gaming room sounds like fun.

 

do we want to all meet at a location in the library sometime during the day before 4pm?

just thinking of maybe touring the event as a group once during the day.

your thoughts people?

 

Sounds good, I was hoping on calling you up when I got there and trying to get together with you guys.

The 501st has everything well in hand. I'm sure if you want to help out, I'm sure they will gladly welcome it.

There isn't enough of us to set up & man a table yet.


I'm doing everything I can to change that.

He was a real nice guy...he talked for about an hour and fifteen minutes about various topics and then signed books. I only took 1 picture...How do you post a picture?

The Public turnout was wonderful!
