Phx Cine Capri Event, June 27th

ok, rox has the FF banner and is sending it to knowville KY. they will be sending it to me before june 20th, then we will take it to comicon...

 

I'm not sure I posted, but I'm in on this adventure of course

 

Once I have time today I'm going to try and get a list and discuss plans so we can take something to bryan

 

i've been trying to get ahold of him, but hes been pulling one of his famous disappearing acts...

oh well, i'm sure he'll show up in the nick of time...

 

i talked to bryan today, and the word is that the opening has been pushed back to
june 27th, and the opening movie will be charlies angels II...

so the plan is still on, 1700hrs. in various movie costumes, just move it back one week!

i know alot of us are even less excited about charlies angels II, but if you show up on the 27th in costume for the event, i will get you a pass to see a movie. it doesnt have to be that night or charlies angels, it can be whatever you want...

the june 27th date is set in stone, so no more changes!
a couple other event are in the works for opening day, i will let you know about them as soon as they are set.

so lets go out and celebrate the opening of the new cine capri!

For the June 26th Star Wars showing/Charity event, It's certainly looking that way. As for this June 27th Charlie's Angels thing.... I doubt it, but you never know.

Y'know, in all honesty, I think I'm gonna have to geek out and wear my costume to the ANH screening. Call me an obsessed fan... **shrug**

Sideshow, the tickets on the 27th are regular price tickets, correct?

If so, are they also going to be showing 28 Days Later?

 

yea, tickets are regular price...don't know about 28 days...
charlies angels 2 will be on the BIG screen, its a good possibility that 28 days will be on one of the other screens however...

 

Some new info on opening day that I didn't see posted here:

On opening day, Friday, June 27th, Dave Pratt and his crew from KZON will be broadcasting from the theatre in the afternoon and will be having a $1 film festival showing movies in the adjacent theatres. It is not yet announced what movies they will be, but there will likely be some SF ones (maybe even additional showings of Star Wars?).

They are also doing a couple of charity things. A $5 charity raflle where one of the prizes are movie tickets for a year at Harkins. They will also be selling $5 tickets to a preview screening of Terminator 3 on July 1st (Tuesday) of next week. More details at http://www.davepratt.net/main/more.php?type=webex&article=20
