Circle

What are you supposed to feel before you die?

Maybe he was already dead. He seemed to be floating in a void. The agonizing stinging was fading, too. Yes, he was dead.

It was dark...very dark.

Where was he? Sith hell, perhaps? Xanatos felt a ripple of fear- fear he hadn't felt in months. Even when about to jump to almost certain death, he hadn't felt it.

There was nothing here...no-one else. No monsters. No torture devices.

Surely Sith hell was a bit less...dull? He'd imagined there to be slightly more eternal pain. Not that he wanted it, of course, but the plain blackness was unnerving him.

I can't stay here forever.

The fear increased.

Can I? He began to feel a little hysterical. "Can I? I'd be bored to death here." he called. "Ha ha ha."

Maybe more than a little hysterical.

The blackness gave no answer. It seemed to be crushing him. It was getting hard to breathe- what?! Why was he BREATHING?

"Get me out of here!"

So he was stuck here forever, was he? This was the punishment for revenge on the man who'd betrayed him?

"SHOW ME MY MASTER!" he roared, and didn't know why he'd said it. But it seemed to work.

In an instant the blackness had completely gone, and he saw them. His old Master, and his old Master's new apprentice, walking away from from the acid that Xanatos had jumped into, as if it was nothing. Not quite...were there tears on the older
man's face?

I don't want him crying for me!

None of the people he could see gave any answer at all.

An uncontrolable rage rose up inside Xanatos. "Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi, I wish you were both dead! No, I wish the darkness would kill you both, in the most painful way possible. Beause darkness will come-" wait a minute, that was true...something was wrong...."-and all you loved will die. It'll seperate you, too-you will suffer."

Then the blackness was empty. Xanatos was gone.

The suns were setting.It was sometimes a pretty sight, but Shmi Skywalker had no time for it. She held her newborn baby to
her.

"My miracle...my Anakin."

 

Ani, as reincarnation of Xanatos?

Well, if you see it like that, then Xan got his death wishes fulfilled.

This is a really intriguing idea! Will you be writing more?

Jess: I'm starting to become rather fond of Ani. I think he's treated a bit unfairly in the fic. (I also have a minor obsession with Hayden's teeth, but let's not get into that) Oh well...to each his/her own or whatever it is they say.

It might be the fact that Xan was incredibly hot and wasn't all googoo-gaga over a stupid-although-beautiful ***** of a senator.

That just might be the reason....

I don't like Bratakin because of his arragant attitude. Xanatos is evil, but he at least has charm. Also, Qui-Gon was a buckethead, and Obi-Wan wasn't. So I also hate Anakin because he hurt Obi-Wan, but I could care less about Xanatos betraying Qui-Gon.

*Shrug*

That's just my opinion, though.

Was not! (Sorry I relate to him most of all the characters and defend him like a...mad rabid fangirl.)

Anyway, I just realised that I couldn't really write a sequel to this, because if Xan really is Anakin, then you just need to watch the movies to find out what happens

(Although you never know...I might be able to get an AU out of this one day...)
