MN City Banners!

We supposedly now have the ability to have forum specific graphics,
meaning that each FanForce chapter is allowed to come up with their
own city banner for their forum.

If you would like to create your own city forum banner, please use
the same dimensions as the current top banner (with the Jedi Council
members),the side banner, and the curve.

Please send us (joanzia@theforceiswithus.com or
fanforce@theforce.net) the URL where the graphics are located so that
the FF staff and Darth Cleo can review the banners. We ask that you
keep the banners clean and appropriate for the forums.

Good luck and enjoy creating your banners.

I think we should have a collage at the top of SW pics representing our most prominent and active posters. Here's my suggestions:

- Salacious Crumb for me
- Fett for Bobafemme
- Mara for Mara/Lisa
- Vader for Vader2000
- Lando or Bria Tharen for Bria
- And maybe even an honorary Wes Jansen for JediJeff since he'll probably never get his icon and he posts here quite a bit.

I could do it if people wanted. I'm not the most talented, but I could do it. Everyone should pick the picture they want used.

What does everyone think?

I'm almost at my 300th post. That makes me happy. Thank Survivor! I feel accomplished now. On the other hand, 300 posts is kind of sad.

I'll do the banner, unless anyone has sever objections to that. I have Adobe Photoshop on my computer, and I AM an art student, so I'd like to put my talents toward work for our wonderful group here.

Well Eki, I was thinking only pics of SW characters to represent us. The reason I didn't include you on that list is because you rarely post here. But talk to our artist V2K. Its his decision.

 

It's so nice of you to volunteer V2K. Like Salicious, I am oppposed to using anything other than SW characters on the banner.

 

I was wondering, though, if we should show something to tie us into Minnesota. I'm personally against putting anything Vikings related into it, but what about the Minneapolis Skyline, or maybe just the silhoutte of the state next to the name?

I'll make some prelim mock-ups of different ideas and then everyone can vote on their favorite. Does that sound cool to everyone?

 

That sounds good V2K if you don't mind all that extra work. Also, another way you could symbalize Minnesota would be to have snow all over the place. Such as putting everybody on a Hoth backdrop.

I don't think he meant it like that Eki. But, there is only so much space on there to begin with. I'm going to start with characters who are the equivalent of the usernames of those on this board. I'm really shooting for all photo references for the characters, but I will try out some illustrations just to give it a try.

So here's who I'm looking at right now-
Darth Vader
Mara Jade (Shannon Baksa black outfit portrayal)
Boba Fett
Salacious Crumb
Lando Calrissian (just cause there is no human representation of Bria Tharen yet)
Wes Janson
A jedi (Qui-Gon or classic Obi-Wan , probably will be Ben)
Luke (I just want him in there cause he's my favorite)

Now, that's eight heads, and that may be getting crowded as it is, because I am also fitting in the Mpls. skyline against a Hoth backdrop.

If there are any major concerns against this idea, please feel free to voice them and I will take them into account. It won't be finished until next week because I need to scan Crummy's CCG Crumb card to get a good quality pic. But, I'll post a work in progress hopefully by Wednesday.

I guess that's all.

Very nice about the representation of characters...but what about me and Kursari?

 

To all members without character specific usernames that could relate to characters to be in the Minnesota Force banner:

Keep in mind that we will have a members profile page on our webpage once it is up. There you will be allowed to have a pic of yourself accompany your profile. I've decided it's best to keep only classic characters on the banner. Mara Jade is the exception because MJS is the city rep.
