I.E., CA City of Redlands 4th of July Fireworks Celebration.

This is absolutely a must for the group! You will utterly be blown away with this show! Three hours of entertainment before the fireworks and the best fireworks you've ever seen! Read below of the scheduled events and click the link to see the video of the finale and pics from last years show! You'll be so glad you went to this folks and you'll remember it always! Being that I'm a giver, I will buy all the tickets for everyone who wants to go thus saving you a trip to Redlands to buy them. Anyone going to this can simply pay me when you get there.As President of this group I COMMAND that you all go!


Once again the University of Redlands plays host to one of the largest 4th of July celebrations in the State of California. The gates at the U of R Stadium will open by 6p.m. The live show and opening ceremonies will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will include a flag ceremony and a four jet flyover followed by a USAF C-17 flyover. After the flyover, skydivers from Perris Valley Skydiving will be landing in the center of the stadium. The Live show, at 8:00pm, will feature performances by Neil Diamond and Donna Summer "impersonators". The Fireworks show under the direction of Jeff Martin, citizen of Redlands and Sales Manager for Pyro Spectaculars by Souza will begin about 9pm. General Admission - $7.00 in advance, $10.00 at the gate. Children under 3 Free and will not need a ticket

What I wanted to do is have a group picnic / BBQ before hand. There's plenty of spots to do this there. From there we go enjoy the festivities! This will truly be a memorable event for the IEFF for sure...I guarantee it!

Hi mike when do you need the deffinate answer by?

 

I'm going to pick up tickets on June 25th which is One Week prior to this event. I'll be calling them on the 21st to see where they're at ticket wise. If you look at the pics, you'll see this is a sold out event as it has been for many years. Hopefully you all will join us and see why!

You two will be definitely missed. I really hope you can end up finding a way to make this. Tickets are super cheap for what you'll get. It's way worth it. Okay folks, this event is rapidly approaching and we want to make sure all that are going are counted for. If you're into the Celebration of our great country and want to see one of the biggest and best fireworks shows in the state of California, you have to see this one!

I'm going down on the 25th (This Friday) to get tickets for all who want to come. This saves you gas and time because I'm such a giver. You can pay me back at the event. This is important fine peoples of the IEFF...I'm going down to Redlands on Wednesday, as they're just about sold out and I want to make sure we get our tickets, as well as the fact that i'm in the area for work. So here's what I need you to do if you haven't already done so-----> please post that you want to go as I'll get your ticket and you can pay me back at the event. I'm going tomorrow Wednesday, not friday as planned, so please let me know.

Got tickets for everyone today. Good thing too because they're just about sold out.


This year everyone sees the show! They will have 2 9'x12' Jumbo-trons - one on each side of the stage. The gates at the U of R Stadium will open by 6 p.m. The live show and opening ceremonies will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will include a flag ceremony and a four jet flyover followed by a USAF C-17 flyover. After the flyover, skydivers from Perris Valley Skydiving will be landing in the stadium.

At 8 PM stadium festivities will kick off with a concert by the Redlands 4th of July Band followed the Rolling Stones (Tribute Band) folowed by by Rod Stuart (Tribute Artist who performed here in 2008) back again by popular demand. Fireworks presented by Pyro Spectaculars will begin at approximately 9 p.m. under the direction of Jeff Martin.

 

Yea for fireworks and the USA! What a great combo! Make sure to look up the info on the city website I've put at the beginning of this thread for any details I haven't posted. I'll make sure to give you any new info I find out and post.



Did we decide on getting together a few hours before they "open the gates" for a group mini meeting - BYOF get together or do we want to meet up in line (first person saves spot in line)? You can bring a cooler for your food and drinks and you can eat in the stands too. I'm up for either way. All those going please post what you'd prefer to do, so we can plan accordingly.

 

We are up for anything. Got the tickets for the oldest daughter and grandkids. Chrissy wants to know if we are going to do the food thing together just like you were asking. She plans to bring macaroni salad. I am sure it is for everyone. I know for us, we need to plan out for this event. We need to get our butts in gear.(meaning my mess of a group.)

I will check with my friend and see if she wants to get there early. I don't cook so whatever Trader Joe's has I can bring some snack food. Or we can meet up to have lunch or dinner. It doesn't matter. Is it like the Hollywood Bowl where we can bring wine and alcohol?

For all those who weren't there, you simply missed out on some good family and community entertainment. We missed all of you who couldn't make it. I'm glad to see more of you took me up on my offer this year, as we had a good group for this. Next year, we'll do bbq, games, etc. and make it really BIG!
