Buff, NY CLARENCE WINTERFEST 2013

We have been invited back for the 2013 Clarence Winterfest.
The date:
SUNDAY JANUARY 27th, 2013
Noon to 5:00 PM
Scheduled performances at 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM
Clarence Town Park, 10405 Main Street.

As we did last year, there will be 2 performances (must dig up old email for the times), and we'll do photos and crafts. It's been suggested that this year we schedule the crafts; put up signs saying we will make puppets at X o'clock, etc, rather than a continuous stream of running multiple projects.

Steve Lu, Karen and I discussed doing our saber demonstration. We will need to organize and coordinate a bit at the event to make sure everyone is a safe distance from the saber duel, but we managed in a tight space at the comic con - I think we can pull this off here too. I would like to see Bill do his demonstration of the 10 point strike (might even join him for this!). I will have availability the week of Christmas to open up our church for rehearsal. Those details will be posted on the saber dueling thread.

 

Sounds great! I'd love to do the demo of the ten also; my dojo is closed until 1/2/13 so I've got a lot of free evenings until then.

I have limited availability on Sundays. I probably couldn't get there until about 1:30 or 2 pm. Not sure it's worth it to drive out there and only be there for a short time. How long are we running the table? Do we need more table help?

 

Looks like we have enough table support for crafts, and while your presence is always appreciated, it seems like an awful lot of driving for such a short time. Need to call Bill about borrowing equipment again.

I have a film shoot on the 27th so I'm not likely to be at Winterfest this year.

 

Mary and I will be attending this event.

Any supplies needed for the craft table?
