Classic Question #4: How old are everyone by ANH?

Luke Skywalker is around his later teens. You can see this by looking at his rocknroll/revolutionary/youth haircut. Also he doesn't have pimples so therefore he isn't in his early teens.
Leia is probably as old as Luke cause she is his twin she also could be considerably younger as girls are known to experience physical changes earlier in their teens.
Han Solo is old enough to have his own wookie and spaceship. Therefore he is exactly 30 years. Chewbacca I've heard is 200 years old. This figure is probably in DOG. That means it equals (200-7)/7=27 human years. Darth Vader is old enough to have aquired some smoking relatated diseases(lungcancer, TBC, KOOL, etc.) He should therefore somewhere in his fifties. Obi-wan Kenobi is old enough to live as a retired jedi. In the SW galaxy this equals 65. Ben is therefore older than 65. Alright, 65+. Yoda says he's taught jedi for 800 years. He also insinuates that he is 900 years (in JEDI). Yoda is anyways rather old. R2D2 and 3PO are robots.

 

Luke and Leia were 18 in ANH.

Han Solo I believe was around 25.

Chewbacca was 200+, Wookies tend to live a lot longer than humans. (EU)

Vader, I believe was 45 when he was killed, thus making him 40 in ANH.

Boba Fett was probably around 33 at ROTJ, and died at 58 on Sernpidal.

If any of the math is off, well all I can say is. . . "oops."

 

I have read that Luke was 20 in ANH, so Leia was 20 too.

If Anakin was 9 in TPM, then he was 19 in AOTC, in EP. III he should be 22, and in ANH, 20 years later, 42.

Chewbacca was 200 in ANH. Han Solo I have read he was about 30.

I have read too (can't remember where) that Obi-Wan was about 25 in TPM, so in AOTC he's 35 (at least). In ep.III he should be 38, and in ANH 58.

I don't know if there's an official source for this in Obi-Wan and Han Solo cases.

there is more before that, but that is a quote from ROTJ, where Yoda, to my recollection, is the only being to say his age in the OT

 

Funny, Anakin looked as if he were more in his mid to late 50's in ROTJ, whilst Obi-Wan looked as if he was in his 60's in ANH. I think it's because, at the time of making the OT, Lucas wanted both Anakin and Obi-Wan to be ten years older than he eventually made them in Ep. I.

Originally, Anakin was going to be in his late teens in Ep. I, whilst Obi-Wan was going to be a Jedi Master filling the part that eventually was filled by Qui-Gon.

 

Yeah, overuse of the dark side is why Palpy and Vader look older than they should.

About Yoda's age, shouldn't it be approximately 900?
I mean, I don't think he was being literal when he said the 'when 900 years old' bit.
Just like I doubt he started training Jedi on his 800th birthday.
I mean, do we really expect him to quote his precise age when making a quip?
I mean, after about 600 birthdays, I think you'd start using approximations too

I would guesstimate Yoda to be between 800 and 900 personally, leaning more towards the 900 mark.

He's 25 in TPM, so he's 57 in ANH. Do the math.

The Han Solo Trilogy starts at 10 years BBY, and Han is 19 then.

Obi-Wan was only 57 years old in ANH though he seems older that's due to the hard life he's led.

Alec himself was 62 when he filmed ANH.

Actually since he's about 900 and said he'd trained Jedi for 800 years, he must've started training them when when he was around 100.

 

He just didn't train anyone until he turned 100.
