This seems like a bit of a nothing board now (no offence). They are topics about one line quotes and ghosts that dont matter.

 

Look at the index and you'll see there is more than those you've mentioned.

 

Don't know if anybody realises this but the link to the Index in the board header actually sends you to the old thread index, last updated in 2004

Before Matt left, he asked me to update the Thread Index with new stuff. Do you want me to continue to do so?

 

Do you even have to ask? It's not like Matt wanted it just so his sticky thread gets longer It's for the good of the forum! That's far above what us mere mods want!

 

Well, it was actually suggested that I do a revamp and this one is unstickied, that way I can look special

 

I don't know about an entire revamp. We just need some threads added from the last few months.

Though I may be biased seems I came up with the heirarchy and contributed the most to the index with Matt last time

 

I think this structure is great, but could use some updating. However, I am for a more consistent TI as far as subject titles and links. Some "official" threads should have the titles modified to reflect their true subjects, as well as the link titles in the TI should reflect the actual title of the thread.

I'd be happy to take care of this, with minor mod help.

Also, there are several threads in the index that need to be unlocked, and a few less that should be up'ed.

 

With so many of us willing to help out with a new Index, it shouldn't take long at all.

Last time, Matt and I went through 6 months worth of threads, 3 months each. We agreed that threads with anymore than 15 posts should be in the index, as long as they weren't repeated topics or things that could be talked about in other threads.

I think now that most of the threads in the index would be auto-locked. Perhaps, if we go through a little more ruthlessly this time and only include the more "upable" threads.

What do you guys think?

 

I agree the Index needs a bit of updating. And perhaps some old threads that have become auto-locked need to be unlocked and upped to help reduce redundancy. And some titles could be edited for clarity.

...but, the loss of jedi_master_ousley...

Soon we will have a new CT mod, one far older and less powerful (at least until promoted to manager).

I suspect the new mod will be able to help with the Index revamp.

 

All I remember saying was to just kinda reorganize things a bit and add new threads.

 

I think the index is an excellent catalog of CT Threads, but I do agree that it could use some updating. Adding a few new threads here and removing a few old thread there. Nothing major, but a slight clean-up would be nice IMO.
