Clone Wars and books don't tie in

In the Clone Wars micro series, Anakin is made a Jedi Knight. His padawan braid is then cut off by Yoda and delivered to Padme. The book I am reading now, Jedi Trial: A Clone War novel, Anakin has his long blonde hair. He is also without his braid, but somehow he is still Obi Wan's apprentice. How is this possible? I believe the Clone War series was porduced before the book, so is the author to blame for this fault?

Well everything ain't perfect. Both are good. Take it with a grain of salt. Thats what I say.

 

I don't know if I would consider one or the other to be non-canon based on the cover. Besides, at the time a picture of Anakin in ROTS may have been available, and considering that he would be a Knight, or known to be getting his Knighthood at the end of the book, they felt that that picture of Anakin was appropriate.

Does the Clone Wars microseries tell anything about how Anakin made it to the rank of Knight?

 

I know it occurs chronologicly before the seires, but which one was produced first?

 

Here, I wrote a blog about this. And for Continuity problems, always blame the animators...

This clash ain't half as bad as the LoE and CW season 3 one.
