Clone Wars / BBQ: August

Right folks. I'm happy to host another BBQ but was wondering if we'd like to combine it with a trip to see the Clone Wars film?

I'm presuming we'd all want to see Clone Wars as soon as poss after it's released, so suggested dates are as follows:

Clone Wars released 15 Aug

Sat 16 Aug
Sun 17 Aug
Sun 24 Aug (I can't do the Sat)
Mon 25 Aug (Bank Hol)
Sat 30 Aug
Sun 31 Aug

We could see Clone Wars first, then head to mine for a BBQ afterwards (weather permitting!)
People would be welcome to crash at mine and the BBQ is open to FF members only.

 

I'm up for any days except Sun 24 Aug and Mon 25 Aug 'cos I'll be at Leeds Festival both days. BBQ is a great idea, Suzi

You could always 'borrow' a from the nearby community farm

How would people feel about having it on the weekend of 16/17 Aug?

 

....you may have to count me out for that weekend, as it will be around that time for the premiere and maybe some other promo events where I may <insert hope> be busy...

OK, Dave, just keep an eye on the thread and we'll make a list of attendees nearer the time.

Jase- good point re possible costuming aruond that time. In order to have as many people as possible making the BBQ, perhaps it should be a different weekend, as a lot of the costumers (me included on that one) could be asked to troop on the release weekend....

 

I think I can make it up, and I think thats still before I restart the 7 day working week (3 months of having weekends again, so I dont know what to do and all I can think is get another job.

 

I think I could make the end of Aug. 30th and 31st.

 

I'm good with any of those dates, though will need to know when we're doing this so I can book it off at work asap

 

Yeah, I agree we need to start making a firm date for this.

So.....if it's likely that some members could be at troops for Clone Wars on the opening weekend and I've got other commitments the weekend after, how does the weekend of 30th/31st sound to people?

I've booked two weeks off work for over end of august through to september and may not be able to attend if I am away with wor lass.

I'll probably come on one of the days - not sure which one though - hence the question which day are we doing the cinema visit...

 

I'm assuming we'd see it on the Saturday. Suzi's away at the moment so I'm not sure her overall plan is.

So we'll go with Sat 30 and Sun 31 then. Saturday being the day we see Clone Wars and have the BBQ and Sun being a day for people to head home (for those living out of the area)......
