So CO Clone Wars Cartoon Discussion

Episode I was tonight.

It is very short. But it was exciting and fun. I like the stylized look of it too. It will be a bit annoying to wait a week for each five minute spot, but I'll be watching!

 

First, I'll say up front that I'm not a fan of Tartakovsky's style...I just don't see what everybody see in it.

Beyond that, I'm all about the story, and there wasn't enough there to make a fair assessment. The music went a long way toward making it 'feel' like Star Wars, and in general the technology had a good SW aura as well, except for Anakin's fighter,which I despise with it's blue 'sunburst' paint job (but that's Lucas' fault, not Tartakovsky's).

I'll reserve judgement until I've seen a few more episodes.

BTW, it looks like they're going to be fairly agressive in showing these. Here's the schedule from my Tivo:

I am not impressed ,YET, I think the only char that looked good was in genndy animation style was anakin.Other than that i thought they looked bad, too skinny.I was very diapointed by the voices.I dont think it would have been to hard to try and get everybody to do there char.Plus what was with the palpatine "nail click".And what was with the constint scowling amongst the jedi.I would like to say that I am holding final judgment until i see it all.

Hey, thanks for the schedule Na-gong! That helps a lot.

I was able to download it so I can put together an SVCD of them all once they are done. I'm downloading the commentary version as well, but the SW.com servers are pretty hammered right now. Actually, I think it is the cartoon network servers that are hosting the files.

 

Did anyone else notice that Kit Fisto was using his lightsaber under water?! He must have a special lightsaber because lightsabers short out when submerged.

 

it looked like it was wavy, maybe it is special/

 

They can work anywhere Uncle George wants them to.

 

he shorted out Obi's in episode 1( deleted scene)

 

From what I understand, Tartakovsky was told to do whatever he wanted, just don't kill anybody off, and steer clear of the romance between Anakin and Amidala, so I guess an underwater lightsabre follows those rules.

 

i might try to download the episodes so i can never miss them. that would be cool. then burn them to a cd and bring them to a meeting.(if i can ever make one)

 

i thinks its going to be cool. CURSE me working nights!!!!!!! oh well. i will bug my clan to record them for me.

and i like palpy. i didnt like what they did to him in that.

I was able to download them, so I'll be compiling them for any who want to see them and don't get the chance.

Clone Wars Cartoon Marathon on US TV

On Friday, November 21st, the first 10 episodes of the Clone Wars cartoon will be shown in two blocks on Cartoon Network in North America.
Episodes 1-5 will air from 7.30pm (ET/PT) with approximately two breaks.
Episodes 6-10 will air from 9.30pm (ET/PT) with approximately two breaks.
Those who receive Cartoon Network via satellite should check their local listings for the times.

 

but dish network has a crappy menu thingy so it wont tell me until right before they start when they start.

 

Jyro, I assume the whole, able-to-download option is only available to Hypospray subscribers?

 

I think that non-HS's can download a smaller version and they can't download the commentaries at all.

 

I need to get caught up on all these. i havent watched but the first two cause of work.
