It's a kid's show insomuch as Star Wars is a kid's movie.

Has anyone seen any R4 DVDs for the first or second season anywhere? I had to import mine from the US but was wondering if they ever released here. They aren't that bad 'flicks', not TESB material though, either.

 

Nah, never seen a local version of Clone Wars on DVD. Pretty stupid if you ask me...

Pretty much any DVD player is region free, DVD player's in computers can be used in conjunctio0n with DVD Genie to region free it.

I have seasons and seasons of tv shows from the states. Not only do they play fine, but I save hundreds of dollars by buying off Amazon.com.

SFL, you missed the point... They might get a bit of a following, or at least have people buy them that don't have Sky TV (the only channel previously showing them I think) or log onto www.StarWars.com etc etc. Believe it or not their are many 'casual fans' out there who might buy them if they saw them on the shelf of their local DVD retailer.

It's annoying having to buy R1 DVDs to get decent special features too! (ala BSG.) The BSG Season One R4 DVD sets had crap SF while the R1 release was loaded with cool stuff. I had having to import all the cool stuff!

 

Damn I didn't get home in time from work to see it today.

Well, I don't bother buying ANY R4 stuff so I'm never disappointed with missing out on "cool bonus stuff".

1. Stop crying.

2. Import everything.

3. Get cool bonus material.

4. Save lots of money.

RedRaptor, in this instance I think it would be best if you took your own advice and didn't respond to posts that anger you. SFL, he has a valid point - we get utter crap here and we shouldn't have to pay postage to import R1 DVDs just so we get decent quality releases.

All that said, however, Vols 1 and 2 of the Clone Wars cartoon WERE released on R4 DVD, with some special features though I can't find my copy so I wouldn't be able to tell you what they were. I've seen quite a few copies of it over here in Australia, so check whatever online stores you guys have there to see if they have any in stock.

 

HawkNC, thank you for not deleting my previous post outright! I hate heavy-hand PCism. It was meant as a humorous response to what I felt was repetitive and undeserved needling. I hope other members take it for what it was; a reminder that these forums are supposed to be a fun community.
