A simple topic: What do you want to see (or not want to see) in the course of the Clone Wars cartoon?

    WANT TO SEE/HEAR:

    - A Wilhelm sound effect.
    - "I have a bad feeling about this."
    - "1138."
    - Some obscure reference to American Graffitti.

    DON'T WANT TO SEE/HEAR:

    - "Yippee!"

Want to see: Sidious and Oppo Rancis (fat chance)
Don't want to see: Jar-Jar and any dumb love scenes between Ani and Padme. Or anybody calling Anakin "Ani" [face _grin]

No, probably Lucas doesn't want to restrict himself too much or give away too much for EPIII or subsequent EU material. The less time their is, the less substance they can have.

Also, if you make it ten minutes long or more, that might require an actual commercial break, meaning more sponsors are needed. Also, it would cause more scheduling problems. And it would be more expensive to produce. Et cetera.

And to top it all of, we're all still watching it every day and talking about it for hours afterwards anyway. Why spend any more money/effort/time when it's already having the desired effect?

    Ha! True!

I'd like to see a more "friendship" with Ben and Ani.
I've always heard, "And he was a good friend."
I've yet to see that. He's just always nagging at him

I'd like to see a whole lot of Darth Sidious, but sadly, I think he's just gonna have a small cameo at most.

I'd like to see it increased to around 12 minutes next season. Hopefully there will be many seasons.

Also it would be interesting to see Jar Jar, he's not my favorite but I do wonder what he thinks of this war.

    Lightsaber duels.

I know we're guaranteed at least two, but I want one now! They're going to be so cool!

"I have a bad feeling about this" would be great.

I want Obi-Wan to meet up with Dooku again. The interaction between the two of them was one of my favorite parts of AOTC. Seeing Anakin meet up with him would be pretty cool too.

I want R2-D2 to save the day.

A clone of Darth Maul fighting a squad of ARCs would be too much to ask for, wouldn't it? ;)

In addition to the above reasons for the short length, I think time might also be a factor. They can make the three minute installments a lot faster than they could twenty half hour episodes (well, 22 minutes without commercials). As it is, we're getting the Clone Wars in chronological order between episodes 2 and 3. That might not have been doable with a longer show, or it might have yielded a shorter run. Right now, they could probably produce another 20 3-minute chapters before May 2005 and let the show market Episode 3 if they like. I doubt they will, but they've got the option this way. Not that I wouldn't like longer episodes in the future, but I really think they picked a good format to start with (or, if Ch 20 is the end it's a nice ride on its own too).

More ARC troopers would be good too. They are undeniably the best characters in the series so far.

A really important Jedi go down in combat. Someone we see in the movies. Say, Kit Fitso.
