FF:VIC Clone Wars Cartoons...have you seen them?

Just finished watching the last episode (No 25.)

Awesome stuff.

Leads straight into Ep3.

If you think you can go see the film without seeing these...forget it.

If you have already seen them...what did you think?

 

The ending annoyed me a bit, just because there isn't really any closure, but I guess that's the point. Other than that, I loved the whole series. The longer format used in the last five episodes works really well. Mace riding the droid starfighter was possibly one of the funniest things I've seen in a cartoon in quite some time.

 

and can you guess where Ep3 starts?

 

Ah, well, I know where Ep3 starts. I'm spoiled for the first minute or so of the film.

MM. I don't have broadband or Hyperspace so it's a bit difficult for me to see them.... Bah.


And in regards to being spoilt, I'm spoilt like Hawk, for the first few minutes and I know the very general outline of the film, but no specifics or the outcome (apart from what is obvious).

I was far too spoilt for AOTC....

 

We'll be playing the last 5 chapters at Skyforce on the 23rd.

 

Damn. Finally a good reason to go to Skyforce. Um.

I really loved these cartoons. In a way they made up for some of what Episode 1 and 2 were lacking.

I mean They've shown more evidence of friendship and respect between Obi Wan and Anakin, they portray Anakin as a much more heroic and noble Jedi. The Anakin in the movies isn't as likable as he is in Clone Wars.

Also the cartoon shows better portrayal of the Anakin/Padme relationship.

Also the action and humor are great. I loved the "Please deposit 2 republic credits" line.

My only problem with the series is that it makes the characters seem almost superhuman. I mean Mace Windu fighting that army all by himself on Dantooine was a bit silly.

I'd say my favourite part of the whole series was chapters 17-19. The duel between Assaj Ventress and Anakin was probably the best thing I've ever seen in a Western Animation and Anakin using the red sabre was just too awesome for words.

I like that Volume two had longer and more structured episodes. But I was sad to not see what happened to Ventress or Durge. Oh well I guess I'll have to buy some of the comics.

 

Clone Wars is supposedly coming out on DVD very soon, so keep an eye out in stores.
