Lit A/V Clone Wars Continuity Discussion (Spoilers Allowed)

I'm still maintaining that kyber crystals are rare and that only "top" younglings are allowed to acquire them. The rest of the Order uses regular Adegan crystals, such as the ones shown in the microseries.

I'd love to see the looks on the Padawans' faces when they find out that, according to the EU, they could have bought their crystals at a jewelry store.

 

That's not what I'm saying; lightsabers can be used by anyone. What I'm saying is what happens when Jedi go to harvest a second crystal, but it's a different colour?

 

I remember TOTJ having a plotline about a crimelord going after some crystals pretty persistently, even though lightsaber crystals were far more common back then.

 

What happens if a Padawan's lightsaber turns red? Do they kick him out of the order, or strip him of the Force, or something? Sucks to be you, kid.

And what about businesslike colors like tan, mauve, grey, or manila? Do they put him in charge of the Order's finances?

I mean, come on, there's got to be some kind of Jedi Financial Bureau somewhere in the Temple...you don't think Yoda of all people is handling the finances of a Galaxy-spanning, government-funded institution rich enough to buy droids and starfighters for all its members, do you? Someone should totally do a comic series on these guys, running around with their manila lightsabers, helping to make the accounting work and cover up Mace Windu's constant embezzlement of company funds. Sounds exciting, no?

This also explains why Darth Vader's lightsaber kept turning pink during the OT. All those soft and fuzzy feelings, the long-forgotten presence of Obi-Wan, the passionate memories of Padme...softening his evil into a cute, cuddly pink. Ah, the humanity!

I'm usually more of a reader than a poster, but this is too good not to mention: David Tennant, The Tenth Doctor from Dr Who, is set to appear on this Saturday's episode, and the character appears to be quite fascinating!

Taking this from what I said in the TV forum, it looks like Filoni and George finally have an end-game in sight. Personally, I think the show may finish either with season 6 or 7. Season 7 would end in early 2015, just in time for another major release.
