Lit A/V Clone Wars Continuity Discussion (Spoilers Allowed)

Honestly, I've never understood why Anakin couldn't have met Grevious before. All they'd have to do was make sure he lost his legs after that....

We know Grevious tries to make himself more intimidating...so it'd make sense that Anakin would assume that. And it becomes a barb in two ways, as well.

Unless I'm missing something else?

 

I guess I should read Shadow Conspiracy, huh? I guess Ventress wise, it works better, but I still really wish she had survived the season premiere, or else just leave it open ended, not confirmed in the book. Oh well.

 

I really liked how they expanded Asajj's resentment towards the Jedi Order to extend even to her late beloved master, whom she feels also abandoned her by dying (an irrational belief, perhaps, but understandable on an emotional level given her age at the time).

I actually felt truly bad for Ventress for the first time.

There's something to be said for experience. Obi-Wan's fought Grievous the most out of any Jedi, so he knows all his moves and tricks better than anyone else.

 

Odd. The concept art gallery shows that this was originally episode 511. So, this was once in the middle of the season.

EDIT: In the commentary, Filoni mentions that he wants Ahsoka to live, while George wants Ahsoka to die.

Also, Filoni mentions that the reason the music sounds so good in this arc is that they were using a full orchestra (unlike regular episodes).

 

Something else interesting:
In the about section of the episode guide, it lists Alderaan as entry, and that comes with a blurb about Ahsoka's disillusionment with the Order. Maybe that is a clue as to where she is going next?

 

Remember, they work several episodes ahead extra (see the Insider) each season, so episode 511 could very well have been the 22nd episode that we hadn't seen...

My reason for repeatedly slamming TCW hard is the fact I don't like how we were told the multimedia project was the story of the Clone Wars, only for TCW to come along years later and completely redo the Clone Wars. I don't care how much of TCW comes from Lucas himself, because the bottom line is I find TCW's treatment of the EU extremely disrespectful and insulting since I am fan of Star Wars, not everything that comes from Lucas' mind.

 

So, last night when I viewed the slide shows on my iPad, I got completely different slides for this episode. Did anyone else get the slide that show Ackbar in his traditional uniform and shoes?

I saw it as well @ Ackbar concept art, though they do have different slides as previews then for the full Episode Guides.

 

I don't think Ahsoka's shoto counts as an actual yellow blade, its greenish-yellowish, not a true yellow blade.

 

As long as she doesn't stay there, otherwise there'd be too many Jedi there.

 

I just think they goofed; Ahsoka and Alderaan both start with A.
