One thing I hope gets decanonized is TOR's Sith Empire and Emperor. I'm well aware of all the justifications for them, but none of them do it for me.

New Essential Chronology says lots of places after the Celestials dumped them on several planets.

Indeed, I'm sure everybody has something that they hate to point of wishing for its decanonization.

I don't think we should wish things decanonized. There are stories I absolutely dislike and pretend never happened. I wouldn't be unhappy if they were decanonized, but I don't want that to happen, because I know others enjoy them. As a result, I don't like the idea of the story group telling them they didn't happen. I don't have to acknowledge these aspects of the universe, but I don't wish them to be ruined for others. It's really no fun hearing others cheer for the loss of a story you enjoyed and talk about how good it will be once it never exists.

I think we have a winner for the heraldry, too.

I never remember what made Ziost special. Always have to look it up. Though this helps.

Well, for one, your strawman argument isn't applicable, because the summary isn't saying it has any connection to any existing Sith world, moon or otherwise. Second, as I'm sure you well knew, I'm sure there would be outrage, especially if the retcon was just plopped down like that for no reason at all. Third, if people weren't as outraged, it would likely be because Ostrander has shown much more respect and ability to navigate the EU and retcons than anyone associated with TCW. Finally, I've never understood this sense that it's fine to form good opinions from summaries and teasers but if you form bad opinions you're being a nitpicker. If people were getting super excited over a summary would you be showing up to demand that they hold off on being excited until they see the episode.

If it wasn't for the fact that the post-NJO, TCW, and to a lesser extent TFU, completely screw up the universe for me, I would probably feel the same way, but I just can't do it.

When is the last time we got excited by a summary?

Probably some time during the release cycle of the NJO.

That's true I was really excited for Traitor and it was like a countdown in 2002.

True, but were they excited by the summary, or by the fact a book they'd never thought would be released was finally coming out. ;)

Do people really get excited about summaries or the creative talent behind it? If Darth Plagueis was a story arc of TCW I kinda suspect no one would be excited.

The book was a summary.....so either way, I think it works.
