How would TCW create timeline problems when all other Clone Wars material has been wiped away, anyway?

Well, TCW is technically still supposed to work with all other Clone Wars material, even though that material is now Legends, so the Clone Wars are still a mess.

If Cad Bane is confirmed to be a clone in TCW, does that contradict EU?

By that same token, I could argue that Disney's been trying to move away from the PT era as a whole...

But that's not entirely true either.

Don't overthink this stuff, guys. We'll get the Bad Batch arc eventually. As I've said everywhere... the only real plothole left related to TCW is Darth Maul.

And yet no one at Celebration asks Filoni about it. That annoys me. ;/

The new Battlefront isn't going to have anything from the prequels.

Let's be honest here, if they put everything the fans wanted wanted into the one game, then they'd have a hard time trying to sell us a sequel and massive amounts of DLC in a year or so.

I have a very hard time envisioning them playing this any better than they have been with regard to what notes they've been emphasizing, so to speak. I get a very 90s EU vibe from what they've got going on, yet at the same time they're layering in TCW material and based on the trailer Episode VII is not going to be the OT Part 2.

To make it clear, I do think there is some PT de-emphasizing going on, but I don't think it's a serious problem. I'm sure the ST will still have a few pauses and references to it.

Remember, the PT is 50 years before that time period. Moving away from it in sequels is a natural process.

As for Clone Wars? I'm sure we'll get something more in the future still, somehow. I look forward to the BadBatch arc being given to the public eventually.

So, they cancelled the show before it got to the Yuuzhan Vong?

    Now I truly hate Disney.

Lel at Rex's comment about always being Ahsoka's friend. So glad we didn't see his Order 66 episodes from TCW. Of course he had to be a good guy!

So, those other clones with Rex? Commander Wolffe (as many suspected with the one eye) and Gregor, the former Commando from the Abafar/Droid/Col. Gascon arc (forget the name right now). Gotta say, was not expecting that last one, but it makes me rather happy. I liked Gregor.

Marvel editor said if Lucas is willing to contact them that they'd love to do some of TCW's arcs.

I hope they provide a logical explanation how Gregor survived.

Oh phuii. Why was so much of Mace's character left to the last arcs?

    Also this made my week:

That's a great exchange, but it is what Filoni said before that which caught my interest:
When did Rex find out that they were married?

I'm curious myself. In the TCW novels - it's pretty clear that he knows they are in a relationship though - but it seems like he doesn't know how far it goes.

That relationship is pretty much the worst kept secret in Star Wars.

As Obi-Wan puts it in the Clone Wars comic Obsession, when he arrives at Padme's house on Naboo, where Anakin is:

"Every Padawan on Coruscant knows where to find you. But I don't care what you do on leave. I'm only here because I need your help."
