The pictures on the site don't really do it justice; it has a much deeper, richer look in person. And again, soft as butterrrrrrrrrr... I could just rub a swatch of it for hours. :)

Edited to add: if anyone wants a swatch of it, I'll send you some, as I've got loads of scrap and it will save you the dollar they want for a swatch. Just PM me where to send it. :)

New Clone Wars images are up! From the next installment.

    (Hyperspace link: http://www.starwars.com/hyperspace/member/about/news/news20041207.html )

(This next bit describes some of the pictures, so beware of potential spoilers, I guess.)

There is a lot of ships and monsters, but a quite a few character shots as well, including multiple jedi. And there is a lovely picture of Padme, in a darker pink dress with a red cloak over the top (image #11), looking very sad.

And I dunno... I think Anakin's new hairdo looks a little... feminine. Maybe it's the sideswept bangs. :)

That hair does make Anakin look a bit too much like Shirley Manson...

But then, the wookiees are also looking a little 70's-high-school-girl with their feathery flip hair.

In any case, I'm sure I'll be as drooly over these episodes as I was over the first round.

Well it's quite clear that Padmé isn't pregnant in these episodes at least. That dress shouldn't be too hard to make though.

I really liked the look of Obi Wan, with more red in it.

For the people who may not have hyperspace but still want to see the dress :)

I've become a costume adict... I want to do this one now too :D LOL

Anakin's hairstyle is way too feminine, but otherwise the images look cool.

I need to hem it, make the brooch, and put slits for the arms :) I love velvet, it's such a wonderful fabric :D

Along the lines of working on CW costumes, I was working on the train of the Purple Diamonds today too :)
    [image=http://photos.imageevent.com/benaequee/mysecretstash/purple%203.jpg]
Back of the Dress, bustled and half the petals added. I need to make more petals, otherwise I would have finished the train entirely :(
Here's the link to the progress Purple Diamods

Clone wars costumes seem like a good idea. When we go to celebration III, my brother is going as regular anakin from Ep III one day, and the next, he's going as the torn up anakin from the clone wars cartoons. I may do a clone wars costume. Banae, yours looks nice!

Both your costumes are looking wonderful, Benae!
Are you planning to wear them for the DVD release, or some other event?

I plan to wear them to C3 and any other cons I go to. The purple one will be entered in the Pageant catagory of the costume contest :) The red one I made as a sort of brain fart, something to get me back into sewing (I hadn't sewn in months) LOL I can't wait until C3 so I can wear these both :D

    Beeeeee-yooooo-tee-ful!

I can't wait to see all the Clone Wars gowns people are doing at CIII.
It's going to be an impressive collection of costumes!

O M G! You did my other favorite one ::wipes drool off keyboard::  I love the fabric choices for that. I've been stuck in a velvet rut lately and was looking at using it with embosing for the swirlies on the coat. I was also thinking of silk or satin for the skirt. That is gorgeous and I can't wait to see it at C3 :D

It *is* really interesting, the fabric choices we make with a costume that doesn't exist in real life. Sola went shiny, Benae would've gone velvet, and I was thinking a heavy matte fabric with lots of pressed pleats. ;-) I guess this is what people who do anime costuming go through all the time, huh?

(And of course I must add, looks great, Sola!)
