Clone Wars Dioramas, tips and ideas

Clone Wars dioramas are all I am focusing on in collecting SW right now, so i thought it would be cool to make a thread bout it. here are some of the figures to use...

use the new 2003 dooku not the old less articulated one.

get a ton of red troopers, u can paint all but one of them white and u got an army!

the speeder bike trooper looks good with the red troopers 3leg thing

when youre not using them for your gunship, use clone pilots with the long clone basters, not the short ones.

put your one red trooper on a speeder bike, it makes them look cooler.

put one of your super battle droids on his nees, if you use a realstand, it can happen.

allways make battle droids outnumber both super battle droids and droidekas.

a nice back or land formation makes the diorama look soooooo much cooler.

you cant have class without a gunship

 

I was thinking about starting these what material do you use to create backrounds.

 

i have a big cardboard thing but i dont know what i should paint it like...

kamino wont be good, geonosis is over, maybe the battle for naboo, no its been done.
maybe a planet like dathmoir. i want a good CW planet!

 

The lastest dark horse comic about the CW takes place on Kamino maybe buy that mag. and do it after that.

 

or you could always do a backgorund like:raxus prime,kashyyyk,thule,or rhen var.all of those are in the clone wars video game!

Check out this Geonosis battlefield I made -I know it's AOTC but it may give you some ideas perhaps?

 

So far my own Clone Army is as follows:

1 Republic Gunship. (10 would be nice but who can afford that?)

5 Sneak Preview Clone Troopers (still the best)

2 Clone Commanders (Red)

4 Clone Pilots (2 to fly the gunship and 2 for the cannons)

2 Deluxe Clone Troopers (Speeder Bikes are great for skimming across the battlefield)

10 Custom Clone Troopers (RebelScum turned me onto these guys and I bought a package from eBay. Not well articulated but great for backgrounds)

That's it so far. I am eagerly awaiting the CloneTrooper 3 pack in August. I am considering painting one of my guys Blue and Yellow in the meantime.

I still like setting up for the Battle of Geonosis. It's right up there with the Battle of Hoth for great scenic display.

It has a dead tree, orange feilds of grass and purple mountains in the distance. I guess its ok
