Not to gripe or anything, but I ALREADY made a thread like this. It seems as if all the threads I make get pushed back and new ones about the same thing are made....(sigh) its my lot in life.....

So do we actually know if there's a DVD coming, at all? 'Cause if there isn't, it might be the one thing that inspires me to shell out for Hyperspace. Very, very grudgingly.

Mind you, the episodes will probably be up on Kazaa within seconds of their TV broadcast...

It's not confirmed, but I geuss there's a 99% chance of it happening.

Well, it was "confirmed" at the marketing summit yesterday, so the DVD is coming, possibly by the end of the year.

Of course, if it was by the end of the year, then it would be 2 DVD's of 10 eps.

So what would you prefer, 2 DVD's (one being released sometime soon), or 1 DVD released in summer next year.

My vote goes to the 1 single DVD next year :)

My vote would go there too, but knowing LFL, we'll probably get both ;)

I agree. I always had this in mind:

Both seasons of the Clone Wars on DVD with an Ep. 3 trailer and other bonus features to come out in Nov. 2004.

According to TFN's report from the marketing summit, "Episode 3 teaser advertising begins in January of 2005". I know this doesn't fit with the timespan of the EpII marketing (ie: November) but that's what it says :(

What studio would release the DVD? 20th Century Fox which releases all the Star Wars movies or Warner Brothers which release all the Cartoon Network shows?

If it's Warner Brother I hope they don't use that stupid cardboard packaging. Give me a nice plastic case.

    Yeah.

What wouldn't make sense though would be to release both seasons seperatly.

    Then my question is:
If they're going on through December and return next year, are there going to be TWO dvd with about 30 minutes of footage?
That just seems strange to sell.

Although I would prefer one DVD with 20 eps, LFL will make more money by making two seperate DVD's, so more than likely, that's what they'll do.

If they did release season 1 only, the DVD better not be priced at more than $9.99. 30 minutes of video, even with commentary and a behind-the-scenes featurette wouldn't be worth more than that.

The R2-D2 mockumentary was 30 minutes long and I think was priced between $5-7. This should be along the same lines.

    See, that would be okay.
Coming from a guy who buys his kids dvd's, I've seen dvd's for 12.00 with only 40 minutes of stuff on them.
    That sucks!
If they want good PR, they'll be priced at 9.00, but!

What if they gimmick it and add a "Special" action figure to it.
That would raise the price to about $12-$15.
    Would you buy it then?

I knew they would release a DVD of this, I will most likely buy it anyway, cause I like this series so far.

Well Warner Brothers did use a better DVD case for its Matrix Reloaded DVD release.

Let's hope they didn't go from being stupid to smart to back to stupid again...

Yeah, I'd pay that much, but that's just 'cause I'm a sucker for anything & everything Star Wars. :)

Hopefully it'll be around the $10 price range, though.

I hate to be random, but heres what i think.

TFN has said that ep 4, 5 n 6 are comin to dvd in late 2004.

Lucas just released Indy to DVD, 4 discs, 1 special features.

Im gunna guess ep 4, 5 n 6 will get a bonus disc as well, so maybe the cartoons will feature on this disc?

It would certainly get some more people to buy the 4 disc set, which would cost more then the $10 range that you guys are expecting.

    Just speculating...

I would love them on DVD, all 20 that is. I was just going to wait for them on DVD, but then I saw Chapter 3 and loved it, so I've now seen all 5 Episodes that have aired in the UK.
