Went to see Speed Racer last night, midnight. Great movie and an awesome visual treat. The movie had a trailer for Star Wars: Clone Wars and all I can say is WOW, WOW & MORE WOW!!!!! Release date is August 15, 2008.....

I saw Speed Racer today and I have to agree it is a visually stunning movie and quite hilarious, intentionally and unintentionally. Monkeys are always funny. I was very surprised at how good Matthew Fox was as Racer X. He could play a Marvel hero easily.

The Clone Wars trailer was indeed awesome. My only gripe is that I wish Lucas would move on from the Clone Wars era and give us either some Old Republic stuff, like Darth Bane or fast forward and give us some post ROTJ stuff. We all know how the Clone Wars end. The only real question is what happens to Asajj Ventress. Still, it should be awesome and I'll definitely pay my eight bucks. :)

Good to see you post my dear friend!

I agree that it is time to start new story lines, but any chance to geek out to Star Wars is what's most important......

I saw speed racer on Friday ..cool movie with the special effects and humorous story-line
and there was lots of action

The clone wars trailer was nice to see on the big screen
I saw the same one on tbs the day before ...not so great on the telvision

I would also like to see Lucasfilms moved on beyond the clone wars

This is just another attempt to get our money

I saw the trailer on Yahoo! and, like the rest of you, think it looks great. However, I agree with the sentiment that Lucas needs to move on from this period or at least explore other eras with this medium. KOTOR, Shadows of the Empire, or an animated Thrawn trilogy would be pretty cool. They may even be able to get Mark Hamill for Luke.

An animated Thrawn trilogy would be sweeeet!! You could get Harrison, Carrie, Billy-Dee and Mark to reprise their roles by doing the voices and use some sweet CGI renders to make the movies kick ass!!!!

What is your fascination with that blue skinned, red-eyed Thrawn guy? You're like Captain Kirk! You only get hot for the green and blue folks, right? ;-)

Actually, with Thrawn, it's his brain. The blue skin and red eyes are just a bonus.
