Hey, all you americans who have Hyperspace. How do the two different commentaries compare?

There's the one on Hyperspace, and one on cartoonnetwork.com.

Do they cover the same ground? I know the Hyperspace on is by Genndy Tartakovsky. Who voices the cartoonnetwork.com one?

Did I read that the Cartoonnetwork one was pretty 'basic' and not aimed at Star Wars fans?

I don't see why not (from the CN one at least) as the only reason most of us can't see that one is we selfishly don't live in America ;)

To be on the safe side, just paraphrase the HS one, don't use direct quotes.

The HS talks more about the behind the scenes technical and creative process stuff. The CN one is more about the plot and characters.

Well, having listened to both, he doesn't seem to be particularly adept at explaining himself. He sounds like he's barely interested sometimes :p

Still, I suppose visual representation is his medium :)

While both commentaries are interesting, neither seem to be as involved as the SW DVD ones. But that's just me being a perfectionist.

i have listened to all three of the HS ones, i think they kinda suck. not real informative, he doesn't sound particularly enthusiastic about doing them, i don't know, they are just kind of blahhhhh.

Listening to both versions of the three currently available episodes, I kind of got the impression that Genndy Tartakovsky prepared some limited notes for himself (something of an outline), then put it into full sentences for the commentary. Both commentaries pretty much cover the same points, but just seem to be worded a little differently.

Like some have said, though, the HS ones seem to be a touch more "behind-the-scenes" while the other ones are almost a narration of the scene in question.

    I think the commentry is rather...crap [face_plain]

I do listen to it once each, but it doesn't really give us any information we don't already know.
