For your question Underleft_. I think "sacré" was untranslatable.

    MMMMMMMM quads :)

    I love the wireframe. Sweet.
If Anubis shares this model with the site/community. I'd like to have a copy of the unsmoothed version too. This will work extra well as a low level detail trooper for heavy shots where you need lots of them, then for hero shots, you just need to wack some subdivisions on.

The helmet would need some poly reduction for the low res model, but it really is very good indeed. There's nothing better than looking at a well constructed wireframe.

Wow. This has come a long way. Looks really very very nice. Did you ever change the size of the helmet? That was the only thing I could really see that may have been off a bit.

Yes.. to Ian you listen. I can see this as the hero version... and take those suggestions to heart so we can maybe make a massive large scale war with them. We could use them for foreground versions. I think for way in the background we could get away with almost a white block figure. Maybe we'll make 3 diff. versions of this model.

"I'm working on a 3d challenge on a French forum"

hehe... I won't let you win! I'm also working on it ;)

good character anyway, with a good lightning.

"Sacré".... Monthy Python's Holy Grail has been translated "Sacré Gral" in french, maybe it can give you an idea.

Dr Jones the meaning of the word "sacré" is not "holy" but it's more "sacré Dr Jones"... You know (tu vois le truc)?

One on the left is the old one. You guys should look at the reference link image I put somewhere in this thread. I think it's too elongated. It's hard to get reference on this too.

dude all of the reference pics I have shows it looking like the one on the left, ALL OF THEM.

The clone trooper helmet is elongated, it is not like the jango/boba or stormtrooper helmets. it is not rounded in shape and form, get some better reference photos man ;)

EDIT: the only problem I see is with the body, the helmet is fine, damn near close to perfect. the body armor is too small, the thighs looks like the trooper has to be non-muscular and thin as hell...

don't mess with the helmet! it's fine

Ah.. good ref. In that last render the heads are slightly tilted down a bit... but I think the old one was a bit too elongated. I think it looks much better now. The new version.

This is a sign of a model being very well done. When we have to nitpick like this.

Well...there's another factor here too... what looks good. And that's the first thing that stuck out to me without seeing any reference. I thought it looked funny. So with this in mind... which looks better despite the reference? I think the new one does.

I agree with Zoo, the new one may not be as acurate, but it has a more human proportion.

i don't know now, i think that the entire model is to "slim". I continue anyway to finish the arms and maybe completely remake the helmet.

I have not heard from him in awhile... 2 months here in the forum.. and my email for him is dead.. and ICQ search was fruitless. Maybe somebody else knows how to contact him, see if everything is ok, or what.
