Hell yes we are!

 

Particularly diets. Saying I will practice better dietary habits at some vaporous, intangible starting point in the future is bound to collapse. If I cannot muster the will to do better by my health now, hoping I will simply binge myself into a food coma now and miraculously commit later is lying to myself. I lie to myself through every bite of the large pizza and reasonably portioned side gallon bucket of ice cream.

 

The sort of resolutions I should make are more along the lines of drive slower, curse less, and manage stress better.

 

In sincerity, there are a few additional steps I ought to implement to improve my dietary health but I am a 5'11, 158lb organic & fair trade-based vegan who practices aikido regularly and tries to use my legs more than my car. But, I have not successfully annulled my relationship with gluten. Should never have signed that prenup with gluten.

 

Bread gets me every single time.

 

As a vegan, we occasionally order alternative meat made from seitan... and eat it on a roll. Seriously, gluten... on bread.

Generally, this is followed by 3 days of fasting and kale, cucumber, apple, ginger, kiwi juice and insincere vows of never again.

 

Did they mercifully get it done in one go?


Rick, I cannot believe nobody kept up my daily pancake image ritual. What kind of shoddy moderation does this forum get by on, these days...

 

For some reason that image made me want waffles.

I need to get my flu shot, it's on my to do list.

 

My wife made these with gingerbread batter over the weekend.

I meant did they successfully administer the shot in one try or did they failingly stick you with the needle on multiple attempts like a blind tattooist? That's the worst.
