He was excellent in Crimson Peak. I personally think he (and the sets) saved that movie.

For the love of Waru don't do this to me. I do not need to be more of a Whovian, if that's even possible. :p

Yet, he's 14 years older than me. :p

I'm such a nerd I am on radiopaedia.org taking brain MRI diagnosis quizzes. Sigh. :p

14 yrs older isn't bad. I'll take Liam Neeson any day (ok, 17 years older).... but 14 years younger is a [face_bleh].

...and yet you guys have thoroughly distracted me tonight. I don't even remember what I was editing.

I'm stuck on whether or not to give my story a downbeat ending. I've come up with two different ending scenes, and the entire final act itself it rather sad, but the final scene could be bit more hopeful. Or I could just make it another sad scene. I like both endings, which makes it harder to choose which one to use. [face_thinking]

Tough one. I'd go with the happy one to give it balance, but that depends on the level of the rest of your story. Was it supposed to be a sad tale all along or just end up that way?

It ended up being pretty sad. The final act is the sad part. The middle act has one really sad scene though. But besides the final act, it's not really that downbeat. It's dark, to be sure, but has kind of a noir/stylish mystery feel to it all.

Sad... That's how mine tend to end up. Occasionally the happy bug will bite me and I'll make it hopeful. :p
I say you write both and go with what you feel is better.

And guys, don't hire me as your radiologist. I've got about a 53% success rate right now. I mean, 90% of the time I can point out the "bad thingie", but I can't diagnose what it is. :p

I'm for either. I tend to write what I "feel" is right. Even though if my story is mostly lighthearted, sometimes I go with a sadder ending and vice versa. I'd go with whichever you feel is right. :)

I chose one of the more tragic Batman villains to serve as the antagonist, so that adds a lot of grief to the story. He's not a bad guy.... he's just hurt, and I changed up some stuff in his origin to flesh out his motives a bit more.

Usually, my characters write the ending for me. (Really pisses me off....)
