You probably just ran into the wall.
It was the garage door actually.
So I just got all of them in my cart for 19 dollars, with shipping, and it deleted my cart.
amazon is the dark side of online shopping - i.e. promises to save your bank account from dying and then laughs when you go into bankruptcy... to that end it uses many tricks such as dyslexic virtual shopping carts, etc.
The Force is not with me today. None of the websites are working out.
I'll probably end up getting my mum to help me out, I can afford 5 out of 7, but I need the last 2.
What all did you decide to get?
I'm trying to get LOTF at least, I got 2 of the books for my birthday but they're Tempest and Revelation, so I don't have the other 7.
They don't have them in kindle format, otherwise I would get that.
I can't afford 120 dollars in shipping, I thought it would be about 20 dollars for shipping with the books for 50 cents each, like it said.
I have the Thrawn trilogy in Kindle, but I want the real book, and the same with the Jedi Academy Trilogy.
I wonder if any of them are at your local library?
I don't know, I doubt the waiting list is shorter than 4 weeks. I'll check again.
Our library is "pants", for want of a better word.
Ours was "pants" for a while too until they finally built a new one in a big building with about the same amount of books
Yeah, Plagueis is on hold for 2 more people, and that's a 2 month wait.
They don't have the LOTF series at all.
...right? who wears those?
Hopefully everyone.... of course going "commando" isn't all bad.
It says to me "we can ship these with supersaver!" So I add them to my cart again, and this time it says "We can't ship these to your location!"
Well, gee, that's just dandy.
Actually, best part is it says "There was a slight problem with your order"
And then every single book is highlighted in red.
That's not a slight problem, I don't think.
I am the 1%...
...of people who never wear pants!
...Erm, I just meant, oh never mind.
*gasps* you broke amazon?
I think it's time I said that pants is underwear in that context.
I believe Gummy already explained that as well....
I didn't break Amazon, but I will in about 5 minutes.
that won't help your cause too much since underwears go under pants
If you want, I can help you break amazon
The EU is scaring me... How is it even possible to keep up? And know where to begin? It seems like it's stretching in every direction possible! Backwards, forewards, up. down, in, out, around... I ... don't... even....
Nah, I'm just going to boycott them.
Welcome back, I know how you feel.
1) Take a deep breath.
3) repeat steps 1-2 as needed throughout this process.
4) State your questions clearly and concisely and we will attempt to answer with the least amount of silliness as possible
How French of you.
What or who do you want to read about?
Well, that's good to know, at least!
Haha, I don't even think I have a question. Just a whole lot of confusion.
I'm used to reading book series from one author, like.. LOTR or HP. Suddenly there's a new author for every book, and every book is about a new subject and you need knowledge from this other book by this other author from this other planet to even understand that book. And then there's the comics, and the Clone Wars... I don't even... I'm starting to get why they call it a Universe!
I love Star Wars, and I want to be able to discuss everything you are discussing, but.. I have nowhere to begin O_O
I think I'll go back to step 1, 2 and 3 now.
At least I have ordered some titles, so I guess I'll just take it from there.
I think the my problem is my need of control. Knowing my next step at all times, and knowing that I do everything in the right order. O_O But.. it just can't be done that way.
I'm an Anakin- and PT fan, so I'm planning on taking it from there.
I have ordered some novelizations already to get me startet, although I don't think it will take me places I haven't already visited in the movies.
edit: sorry about the doubleposting!
