They're making a remake of gremlins... with all CGI Gremlins...



Now I'm not an anti-CGI zealot, I've stuck up for computer animation plenty of times. But doing Gremlins in CGI is just wrong. BT did an advert with Gremlin puppets made in the original molds from the first movie not so long ago, and people adored it. The puppets hold up well, and are a classic special effect that you can't tinker with or improve. And the thing that really annoys me? Joe Dante has been wanting to do Gremlins 3 for years, despite being constantly turned down by Warner Bros, so what is the point of a reboot?

 

The point is probably milking a reboot for all the money they can.

also, were did you find flaming twilight?

They'd still have got money from Gremlins 3 though, so it makes zero sense.
