So going back to Padmé's death, it was the will of the Force, as I said, and the midis stopped, leaving her to die, while seeming perfectly healthy. As the droids most likely didn't check the midis of a non-FS human, who's in the middle of the outer-rim.

No it isn't. The force is a living energy in the OT, but it doesn't have a greater game plan it's trying to carry out. It's more akin to a magical plane of existence that can be tapped into at will. There is nothing about midichlorians or a sentient force in the OT to my awareness. That didn't come about until the PT, when being jedi was less about being a monk-like follower of a mystical force than it is to do with being part of a genetically superior sub-species that can tap into some mystical higher thought process that only becomes apparent when it is convenient to the plot.
