No, it's just him. Others can look rather normal.. But he's just so insaanely creepy. His stare, his mouth.. There's no mimick. He's gonna give me nightmares tonight

The Emperor always freaks me out. "Weeelcome, young Skywalker. I have been expecting you." Ian McDiarmid has the perfect voice for that.

Something I didn't notice until I rewatched ROTS a few weeks ago: Obi-Wan is incredibly creepy in that fight with Anakin on Mustafar. *cuts off 3 limbs and watches as his former friend burns alive without lifting a single finger* I mean, sheesh. Dark Side, anyone?

Palps gets me too. He's slightly less creepy than Tarkin though.

Ooh, I love Tarkin's creepiness. There aren't many scenes showing Tarkin's full body because Peter Cushing didn't want to wear the boots. It makes me giggle to pretend he's wearing fuzzy pink bunny slippers the entire time.

That's how I feel! He's so creepy but in a good way. :S

In ROTS and ROTJ, he's more creepy than in between.
In ROTS is what did it for me.

 

As for Obi-wan on Mustafar.. I don't find him creepy.. You can see he's really struggling to not help Anakin out. And the lines. "You were like a brother to me" or whatever it is he says (I don't remember exactly) shows that he really cares for him, and still does (at least I think he does). I think he was really close to giving up and help Anakin out, but managed with a lot of effort to stay true to the jedis wishes.

 

Yoda saying "You will be." = creepy

 

In that case the Jedi themselves are skirting the Dark Side pretty close there. I'm not informed at all from the PT and before era, but had no other Jedi fallen to the Dark Side and been redeemed before? It's a horribly callous move on their part. I mean, put the guy out of his misery if you really don't think he can be saved.

 

Mirax: There have been. Old Republic, before the PT, yes. Quite a bunch, actually.

I'm assuming even in G-Canon, there should be as well. We'd have to ask him...


But yeah. I don't really dislike anyone in the films.
Palpatine maybe a little bit. But that's normal, I think.

I think so. In fact, I lied. I dislike Obi-Wan for that.

Also being sneaky and following the wife of a mentally unstable friend who could truly hurt people isn't a bright idea either.

Don't you think Obi-Wan had conflicting feelings?

Sure, he probably thought about sparing Anakin from more misery. However, I also believe that he must've felt intense agony from being betrayed. Let's remember all of the atrocities committed by Anakin. Especially the eradication of the Jedi Order, including the younglings. So, I'm sure Obi-Wan thought that Anakin was getting what he deserved at some point on that high riverbank.

 

Sure he did. But Jedi are not to get revenge, so I'm sure what he was doing was leaving him (like Antigone in the cave), for nature to deal with him, so he would not be the one who killed his "brother".


Also: At least confront him separately, without Padmé there! Or save Padmé somehow.
