    Fear for them? *scoff*

And the Empire isn't EVIL. We've been over this.

No, haven't read it yet. I started the Jedi Academy, but I really dislike it, sadly.

You can't take my title away from me! :p

Then skip the jedi academy(which book specifically are you reading now) and get to reading scoundrels. It's a smugglers holy bible

    Eventually.

I didn't make it past the 3rd chapter of the 1st book. The grammar is terrible, and the analogies/metaphors/description is painful. :p

I'm going to Thrawn next, then I'll read Scoundrels, I think.

*Waves hand at the Admiral you will read scoundrels next* I actually liked the jedi academy. It takes a little of getting used to but my opinion is that each book got better.

I almost gave up on JA bk1 after two or three sentences for the exact reasons you just mentioned. But for whatever reason I gave it another shot and it was fun despite the terrible writing. I think the JAT is much more worthwhile than Thrawn trilogy which I found to be bland, annoying, lacking creativity and worst of all boring.

All I can say is avoid "Dark Empire" at all costs.

Maybe I'll skip a chapter and see. Normally what I do in books I can't stand.

I've heard way better about Thrawn over JAT. [face_dunno].
I don't think I'll like this "secret Grand Admiral" business though. Thrawn was ok in Choices of One, not spectacular though.

You can trust me on this Admiral. When it comes to reading trust me Thrawn Trilogy was better and Scoundrels is amazing too. Don't give up on the Jedi academy yet though

Thrawn was a good idea for a character but once the author started writing the story he never used him well. After reading the trilogy Thrawn was a character with great potential but had done nothing worth reading about. And the most annoying thing is how all the other characters constantly talk about how amazing he is but there is nothing to point to that explains why they think he's amazing. He's a useless idiot in every situation.

I have to believe alot of the hype is just because there were no other SW EU novels at the time Thrawn came out. I liked the books too back then. But my recent reread was a big disappointing waste of my time.

Don't skip a chapter just speed though the first 4 or 5 pgs. The writing is bad but the characters and situations are fun. Except Daala who is a lame character but at least she doesn't get the hype like Thrawn.

    Ah. :)

    Yeah, Daala I've heard isn't great. :p
    A few times now.

Too bad, because I get her on all the personality quizzes. :(

I'll see about Thrawn. It's Zahn, so it should be ok at least.

    Anyway.

Feel Good Inc. showed up on my iPhone. Haven't heard that in a while. :D

Sis you consider Empire strikes back&Return of the Jedi the worst of the franchise and you don't like EU books. Anymore blasphemous statements you want to add?

I would only recommend Thrawn trilogy to someone who is gonna read every EU novel but then I wouldn't even need to so I would never recommend it.
