My cat was so quiet, lifeless, and silent, when she died. She just looked into my eyes. She died of old age. She-s 85-90 in human years. I don't know how I should bury her, though... She died a little while ago....

Whenever I was upset, she calmed me down. She seemed like such an innocent, kind, sweet, peaceful creature who lived with me for 17 years. She's like my sister or my daughter. Just a few days ago, she was all active and happy and running around and being all excited and active, alert. Now, she's gone. I'll never get over this for a very long time, that's for sure.

I still miss my birds. I still don't know how my green bird died, and not sure exactly how the yellow one in 2009 died. Time goes so slow. All big events like that happened in 1 year.

 

Actually, I just noticed that she was alive. I thought she died earlier, but she was so weak and silent that I didn't notice it. But that doesn't change the fact that this is her last night, or tommorow may be. I meant that she was dying. I want to hold her at least one last time..

What happens to pets when they die? I really want to know....

Sit with her and pet her, tell her anything and everything that you feel might help.

When my cat died I was having such a hard time dealing with it, but being able to hold her when she passed and tell her that she was loved, and she was going to be safe helped so much.

 

Depends on whether you believe pets have souls or not, if you mean religiously.

 

well, i like to believe my fish are in a better place. i dont think the one who commited suiced by beating itself witht the top of the tank liked me, or the ones that ate their babies, or the ones that ate their mate after laying the eggs, or the one that decided to eat itself or the one that ate rocks or the ones that ate a decoration. but the two fish that died of old age liked me i think................... im not allowed to have fish anymore
