What do you like? Indian, Thai, Chinese, comfort food, fusion, German, Polish, American, British?

 

Joe: Yeah, we'll see. I'm starting to get fascinated by the dark circles under my eyes now, so I'm sort of interested in seeing how much worse I can manage to get them!

AV: I like Indian, Thai and Chinese. Comfort and fusion I don't know what is.. ANd I have no Idea what food the german, polish, american and british make D:

 

I wouldn't do that. That's not healthy. Sleep deprivation can kill or cause perminate damage. Stay away from sleep medication, though. That stuff's relay bad for you.

Comfort food is just food which, well, you enjoy eating. Like ice cream. Or most junk food. Healthy alternatives to that are always good. I have my cliff bars and granola bars, for example.

 

I take Trazadone for my insomnia. It works wonders.

 

I'm on sleep meds right now. Been waiting two hours for them to do any good. Maybe I've turned... I might be a vampire now. You know, the Twilight kind that doesn't sleep.

I don't need comfort food.

 

You have something like these?

Use these instead of regular noodles for Thai and Chinese. 40 calories a package, you just rinse and microwave.

For Indian, make your own curried lentils and brown rice.
Always use brown rice instead of white rice. Add lots of vegetables on the side. Grilled peppers, kale, spinach, carrots, green beans, snap peas, baby corn, water chestnuts.

German and Polish, like sauerkraut, sausage, egg pasta (spatzel), potato pancakes & dumplings, schnitzel,
Not sure if beef stroganoff counts.

American is like ribs, bbq chicken, steak and potatoes, etc. hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, clam chowder.
British is pretty similar but with things like yorkshire puddings, shepherd's pie, English breakfasts (beans. toast with potatoes, mushroom, egg, sausage), sausage rolls, bunch of other stuff.

That's all I can think about for dishes that aren't the exact same right now.

If you live in America, American food is basically what you consider 'normal food'. French Fries, Steak, Chicken, and Corn are just some examples.

However, you are in a sleep-deprived state. Do you think you should wait to make other life choices until after you've slept?

 

I don't think converting to healthiness is the worst thing I could possibly do in the state I'm in.

I just find it really bad I can't remember my own country's popular food, other than fast food.

My family's always eaten more Polish/German/English/French food.
Still no excuse.

And yeah, it's pretty bad that you're that far from American culture if you're American. That's like being American and not knowing the president!

 

Oh, I'd much rather eat healthily than go shopping. I wish I could order all my clothes online.

OH! Zapdos, do you like dark chocolate? Eat 1-2 squares as a bit of a treat per day. Or red wine, 1/2 glass 3x a week. They're really good for you too.
