They got rid of Lucasarts, but according to my Economics teacher (who's been in business for 20+ years before teaching) it's very likely they'll make more games, under the Lucasarts licence but outsourced to other companies.

Edit: It's also possible they're doing it to save the money of paying experienced designers etc, and instead outsourcing so they only have to pay the equivalent of an intern.

True. However, it means that the brief shot at getting Battlefront 3 is done. First Assault died with LFL.

Hell, LA itself is gone. The guys who developed RepComm, EpIII: The Game, and countless others are in the wind. You can bring in other contractors, but it won't be Lucasarts.
