    Hello Amazing Rick.

    Just watched Carpenter's The Ward for the very first time. Don't know what took me so long. It is about mental illness, so it it rather intense in content, but it is a brilliant piece of Carpenter cinema.

    Yes, I own it. I own all of his films now. The Ward escaped my notice for 3 years, for some horrible cosmic reason.

    I think the only subpar (and that doesn't mean unwatchable... simply below his standards...) film in his filmography is possibly Escape From LA. The surfing scene was traumatizing to watch.

    I consider Prince of Darkness to possibly be his most underrated. It's such a strong film and Pleasance is amazing in it.
