I bought this vegetable mix to make a teriyaki bowl thing, the top third was snap peas and such, the last two-thirds were carrots. Sigh

 

I'm out of carrots! I've been on tomatoes for the past 2 days.

It takes a lot of carrots (or other carotene containing foods) though. Usually. If your body can't metabolise carotene properly it takes less. It's called carotenemia.

Carotenemia shows up on the bottoms of your feet and palms, and can take months on a low-carotene diet to get rid of the discolouration.
