That's right. I didn't know, but I've got it now. Not a fan. No prob.

So, the inevitable question. What are your thoughts on the Blackhawks this season?

Shira- That sounds wonderful. Plus, the novelty of purple soup is an added bonus. :p

It was the best soup I ever made, if I do say so myself :p And the certain purple hue did make it quite unique :D

They would destroy the Oilers of the late eighties. Seriously who can stop them? I thought early in the season maybe the Blues. But I think the Hawks depth will carry them past any team in a long series.

T- I hear ya. They're on an incredible roll once again. I don't think the Blues can take them in a playoff series.

Really? Destroy the 80s Oilers? You're a bold one, Kenobi. :p Actually, I agree that they'd win, but it would probably be competitive.

I don't think it would be close. Players are smarter, stronger, faster and team defence is better than it was in the eighties.

Those are good points. You might be right. Man, has the game really changed that much?

I've been so frustrated with the Rangers. Oh well, I must suffer through the lows of my team. The season's not lost yet. I'd be satisfied with a playoff berth.

What are your thoughts on the new playoff format?

We'll not speak of the Rangers and their dark times in here.....so much darkness....so much darkness.....

I'm not a fan of wildcards. I think the eight best records should be the qualifier. But I am happy that every team plays in every building every year. Thta trumps all my complaints about new divisions and stuff.

Yeah it is too bad the Rangers couldn't get their **** together. Hank deserved to be on a good team. And I was totally confused by their choice of coach.

Hopefully next year the Rangers will be better. The King deserves to hoist at least one cup in his career and let it be in with the Rangers. They suffer from what I like to call Jerry Jones syndrome. :p

The new divisions are ludicrous. I don't like it. Hopefully, the playoffs will be just as exciting as ever. Wild Cards or not, we'll still get 8 decent match-ups.

How do you feel about the hybrid icing?

JediMaster1511- Yeah, I can't see him playing anywhere else. Nevertheless, he must be frustrated beyond belief with the lack of offense. They've dropped their last four at home! I had high hopes. :(

I don't think the Rangers can improve that much in just a year. And I'm very sure the don't have the right head coach.

    ?
It's stupid. Only the owners want it. Fans and players want automatic icing.

All you need to know is that Blackhawks rule, everyone else drools and Hossa is the best player ever.

T- Do you think Vigneault is a better fit than Tortorella was? As for my opinion, I don't think either coach's methods are a good fit for this team.

JM1511- I understand your pain. Knowing a lot of Jets fans, I can only imagine the turmoil they put you through.

Nope, never. The only things I know about hockey:

    1) Wayne Gretsky is "The Great One"
    2) it's a sport known for fights
