OKC, OK Club Meeting Minutes - 02/22/2003

    [b]March Meeting Schedule[/b]
    [ul][li]Rotating a Club Dinner and Club Meeting each month isn't working out, so...[/li]
    [li][hl=yellow]Thursday Club Meeting: [b]March 6th, 7 p.m. @ Mazzio's, N.W. 70th & May[/b][/hl][/li]
    [li][hl=orange]Saturday Club Meeting: [b]March 22nd, 6 p.m. @ Mazzio's, N.W. 70th & May[/b][/hl][/li][/ul]

    [b]Club T-Shirts are still available[/b]
    [ul][li]We'll be making a new club t-shirt in the coming months... in beautiful BLACK![/li][/ul]

    [b]Club Dinner report[/b]
    [ul][li]The last club dinner was held on February 6th at the Hometown Buffet on N.W. Expressway[/li]
    [li]Weather wasn't conducive for driving[/li]
    [li]Some club members showed up an hour early[/li]
    [li]10 members showed up in all[/li][/ul]

    [b]Star Wars Trading Card Game World Qualifier in Tulsa[/b]
    [ul][li]Was held at Top Deck Games on February 8th.[/li]
    [li]Our team (Jason, Rick, Brian, Evan, Len) faired average across the board.[/li]
    [li]The top 8 people in the tournament won a "promotional Chewbacca figures", which was really just the one packaged with the RPG game readily available at your local book store.[/li]
    [li]There is dicussion about a roadtrip to Albuquerque, NM to try to qualify again in March.[/li][/ul]

    [b]LaserQuest party on February 16th[/b]
    [ul][li]Seven club members and a guest arrived for food and fun![/li]
    [li]We all played 2 games and had pizza (Thanks, Rick Y.!).[/li]
    [li]Some of us stuck around and played a third game.[/li]
    [li]A good, fun time was missed by most![/li]
    [li]We're already planning to have another club event there soon.[/li][/ul]

    [b]Upcoming Movies for possible club-going[/b]
    [ul][li]X-Men 2, LotR: Return of the King, Hulk, Matrix Reloaded, Matrix Revolutions and others[/li][/ul]

    [b]Toy Fair 2003[/b]
    [ul][li]The annual event was recently held in New York[/li]
    [li][i]Hasbro[/i] previewed some Clone Wars figures and vehicles and the Jedi Knight Luke Unleashed figure[/li]
    [li][i]LEGO[/i] previewed some more Star Wars mini-building sets and the awesome AT-AT and Hailfire Droid sets[/li]
    [li][i]Gentle Giant[/i] previewed some new mini-busts[/li]
    [li][i]Master Replicas[/i] previewed the replica Training Remote, Maul's Lightsaber and Vader's Lightsaber[/li][/ul]

    [b]Clone Wars Cartoon[/b]
    [ul][li][i]Cartoon Network[/i] and [i]Lucasfilm[/i] made it official that a series of short cartoons would be aired in the fall.[/li]
    [li]They will be 2-3 minutes in length, and regularly scheduled to appear most likely after another show.[/li]
    [li]Hasbro will be creating and rehashing figures and vehicles for the series. For example:[/li][/ul]
    [ol][li]Vehicles - Anakin's Starfighter, Republic Gunship, Trade Federation Battle Tank, Geonosian Fighter[/li]
    [li]Figures - Yoda, Clone Troopers[/li][/ol]

    [ul][li]TIE Fighter(s), Clone Troopers, Yoda w/ Lightsaber, Padmé (Ep. II), C-3PO (Trilogy)[/li][/ul]
