Coast to coast walk for Finn cancelled due to Fall,

Hallo Everyone,

As you all know I was planning to walk the coast to coast in July with the help of Tim from FFUK N sadly Tim had to pull out for personal reasons leaving me to do the full route in 14 days,
Yestoday I was out walking Whitby to Scarborough ( about 22 or so Miles down the North east coast line )
When I lost my footing and fall backwards onto a set of stone steps heading down a path, ( Thanks to the two students out walking who helped carry me to safety or Id be still lying there )

I have seriously knocked my back & lower spine ( I am currently on strong pain killers and they aren't working so I will have to see my doctor ) I did manage to get into Scarborough under my own steam and return home at 1 am this Morning I fear I will not be able to carry on with the planned C2C walk without help.

Sorry for any problems this causes to health and safety comes first

Good thing you were helped out, tho. What did the hospital say?

 

Your health and safety absolutely have to come first.

I for one am in awe of people who set out to do such magnificient things, especially when for charity

Keep your head up, and remember. There's always next year

EDIT: Did anyone else thing it was cancelled due to Autumn?

 

I got to see the Emergency Doctor who said My back wasn't bruised but feels like I have knocked my back badly (And Because I have the early stages of osteoarthritis any heavy bag could cause problems if not looked at)

I would still like to do some kind of walk if not the Coast to coast Maybe Ill walk the 70 miles Newcastle to Carlisle in stead ?
