Collect digital FORCE CARDS - for free!



I hereby invite you to collect digital Star Wars cards. Many Star Wars fans love to collect Star Wars stuff, and now you
can collect a set of digital cards, made by yours truly just for fun.

Using various programs, I have made a set of 30 cards with pictures from the very first film, "Star Wars: A New Hope". The cards
are 640 x 272 in size (the pictures are 481 x 205), and the pictures have been taken directly from the film - thus you'll find some pictures that you normally
don't find. Each card has a small Star Wars-logo, a title, and a number. Each card is approximately 20 KB in size.
You gotta catch 'em all!

In order to collect the set, you need to be a member of theforce.net's Jedi Council. If you'd like to receive cards, you must
PM me with an e-mail adress. When I've checked my PMs, I will send you a Digital Booster Pack containing 5 randomly selected
cards from the set. There is also a small chance you receive an extra chase cards - there are seven chase cards to collect.

A given e-mail adress can only ever order TWO digital booster packs. The e-mail adress must correspond with a Jedi Council
username.


The first three members to prove that he or she has a complete set of cards (30 cards or a mix of normal and chase cards numbering 30)
receive each a special card of which I only will distribute three to these members (fake ones are easily spotted).

If people like this, there will come additional sets (one is already in the making; collectors will receive a preview card).

So how do you get more cards if you can only ever get 2 booster packs? Since you don't mention any other way of getting cards other than the booster packs no one will every collect them all unless people just give their cards away.

Sounds cool, but it sounds like some more explanation is needed.

I don't care for e-mail adresses You could set up another e-mail adress which you don't plan to use more than once.

The point was to distribute the cards, and then have people trade doubles (as I will randomly determine which cards will be sent by rolling some dice or whatever).

It's all just for fun, I'm *not* intending to invade your privacy regarding your email adresses! I'm just a Star Wars fan with too much time on my hands

I forgot to mention that these three special cards feature pictures from the lost cut. The first to collect 30 cards gets bonus card #1/3, the second to finish gets card #2/3, and the third one #3/3.

 

Booster packs have been sent to those who have PMed me. I hope you like the idea of "collecting" something at the Jedi Council, just for fun. I always loved collecting Star Wars stuff so..

I have sent u a PM Ree Yees. Now how do we go about trading? I suppose everyone posts what cards they have and then we make offers? And also, I dont understand - to trade your doubles with other ppl's cards but whats stoping users from making multiple copies themselves, and then trading those?

Hi guys! Well, I *do* spend a lot of time behind the computer screen, but I had to reformat my computer and search the entire house for my Internet passwords before coming back

I'm about to send cards to the rest of your who have PMed me.

About making copies: First of all, I know exactly who has gotten which cards, so when you trade you could trade on this page so I can see who's got what. In addition, each card is created with an "invisible" signature by me

Cool that you like the idea I thought, man, I've been pessimistic lately (I'm one of them evil bashers), let's do something nice for a change

I just sent a mail to everyone's who's involved with the collecting now.

I just realized that this weekend's computer crash took with it all the Force cards (I've sent a mail with more details).

I'm currently preparing a new set (which I shall save onto a CD), and all of you who I've mailed will receive a pack soon!!

The new set is almost finished. It won't have as many rare pictures as I managed to create for the original set, but the cards have a cooler design and with thrice the resolution for your viewing and collecting pleasure

I'll be sending one booster pack to each of the participants tonight, PM me for one more.

The all new, collectible STAR WARS: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK set of digital THEFORCE.CARDS has just been released to the public!!

The collectability of the original A NEW HOPE set is rising since all the originals on my hard drive were wiped out.

The new ESB set features a 15th Anniversary Boba Fett logo and a number. Each card features art or stills from "The Empire Strikes Back", one of the greatest movies of all time.

The same rules apply as above: the first to collect them all receives unique cards!

A checklist of ESB cards is coming up soon.

 

Um can u explain the rules to me in simple form?

 

Uhm...the rules are outlined above. A simplified version would be:

1. This is just for fun.
2. Send me a PM with your email adress and
you receive a booster pack with 5 cards.
3. A card is basically a JPEG image from
a Star Wars film, the point is having
fun with "online collecting" with fellow
Jedi Council members.
4. You can only ever receive 2 boosters. To
get more cards, you must trade with the
others.
5. The first to have 30 cards in the set
(or chase cards + cards = 30) receives
a unique bonus card which no one else
gets.
