NYC, NY Collecting Club/Group

In talking with RJ from the NJO this past weekend, we have decided that as a collaborative effort between the groups, we'd like to form a Collector's Society for discussions, shopping days, and just a general network for helping each other out with completing our various collections.

RJ has suggested that we come up with a name for our group and just throw the idea out there to see if there's any interest.

I know John had suggested shopping days, so I know he'll be up for this...LOL

 

I'd be interested..though I'm sure most things would be on weekends (damn retail job) But who knows. You can call it something like The Tri-State Bounty Hunter's guild or Collectors Guild or something like that.....

 

General count me in. Name hmmm.... Northeast collectors society. Sound good?

For me any activities would have to be on the weekend I'm like 2 hour drive to the city. But my knowledge of online retailers and new images/items is unparralled in NJO.

It would be nice to see this work for once. I have been wanting a local collectors group for over 2 years. Never enough support.

I won an auction from them once at a decent price. I think it was a Leia figure or something. Then not too long after I started getting a catalog in the mail and from then on I knew the rip off that was Brian's Toys. I never have and never will buy from them again. I think they finally stopped sending me that catalog

well...my collecting is eclectic.

I collect SW toys, knives, martial arts/ninja (or should I say like too), DVD's, Die-cast planes, CCG games, Zippo lighters, Rest. glasses...things like that...so, multi-faceted collecting would be nice.

I like the Jawas one.

And can someone who really doesn't collect SW stuff, but is looking for certain stuff join?

If it becomes a multifaceted collectors club consider me in. As some of you may know I collect Buffy figures... .

 

I like Northeast Collectors Society. As far as joining its open to anyone no matter if you collect a little or if your like me and collect everything SW.

EDIT: one more thing tell everyone in the area you know that would be interested the more the merrier.

Needs improvement not enough in stores and Hasbro needs to improve on quality rather than quantity.
