Welcome to the Collecting Division :D

Here we could discuss one of our many Star Wars obsessions: Collecting

    Want to expand or complete your Collection? Need help finding things? Don't know how much your antique Star Wars memorabilia is worth? Want to know what's NEW and what's HOT? Want to know if you paid a fair price for your latest acquisition? ;
Just post in this thread and I will look for the answers in the Jedi Holocron!!

Warning: The following Subject Matter contains severed arms, flying lightsabers, roaring wookies, soaring starfighters, FORCEful choking, blazing blasters, yelping wampas, pesky droids, loud ewok horns, rampaging rontos, too many jawas, and an out-of-place hobbit.

For Maximum Enjoyment; Viewer Participation is ADVISED! :D

OMG! This is an absolutely incredible thread, Antonio! :D I?m not going to ask how long it took compile, as you clearly put a quite a bit of work into it; thus, well done. ;) Also, thank you for lending your wide breadth of experience/connections out in the marketplace; I?m certain that all of us collectors here in Tipoca City will definitely benefit from both. Keep up the good work. ;)

    "The Jedi Holocron Reveals:"

Star Wars Unleashed Figures (series 1)
Darth Maul: has been located at

Golden Age Collectibles, but it retails for $34.95 CDN (possibility of being in stock: unknown)

John's Collectibles, for $25.95 CDN, though this is tough 'coz it's a big seller there...the possibility of getting it is slim. You might be able to ask for the display piece (without card) :(

:) The Outer Reaches .com = retails for $26.98 CDN, and will be able to ship within 24 hours!!!

    Ebay = prices range from $9 - $15 USD
send the "Keeper of the Holocron" a PM for possible sellers.

there are quite a few qui-gon jin's left there but the paint job is slop,.. this one:

    [image=http://starwars.hasbro.com/product_images/84801_b.jpg]

next to toys r us was a kids wonderland,.. looks like it opened up recently,...
and they have action figures of Count Dooku!! Obi-wan Kenobi Pilot!! Chewie with C-3P0 Bespin!!! ,.. but alas,... 12-14 bucks each!?!?!? scalping going on??? it's right next to the toys r us,.. sigh,...

well, just thought you guys might be interested to know ,.. please keep any other sightings of the rarer figures up...

oh, and,.. do you know why we get such late shipments of new figures when in the states, they keep on getting new restocks so frequently and new figures are released closer to their supposed release date?,.. i mean, we're not that far from the border..,..
and any further sightings of other unleashed figures like padme? or anakin?,.. etc..

Okay, I just got back from Lougheed Mall and the Toys R? Us on Lougheed Highway. Here?s a list of SW figures at these two locations (before I forget):

    • 1. Wal-Mart at Lougheed Mall: Series II ? Mace Windu (two), Dexter Jettster, Orn Free Taa, Jar Jar Binks, Battle Droids.

    • 2. Toys R? Us on Lougheed Highway: Series II ? Ki-Adi-Mundi (one), Palpatine (one), Han Solo (one), Orn Free Taa, Tusken Female & Child, Captain Typho (three), Saesee Tiin, Jar Jar Binks, Battle Droids, Dexter Jettster, C3PO and Battle Droid (heads switched), Luke Skywalker?s Dagobah X-Wing with R2-D2 (three), Tatooine Landspeeder with Luke Skywalker (four), Anakin and Zam Wesell?s Airspeeders (several). ;)

Power Of The Force: Leia Organa, Shmi Skywalker, and one Bacta-Tank Luke Skywalker (half-price, $7.99, pretty beaten-up box). :(

    Hey guys,

I apologize for not updating the holocron as I promised :( ... I went to California for the Holidays; and I have to admit that I'm still a bit bummed out to even start fixing this thread.

I was able to go to the last day of a Collector's Convention down at Anaheim; and I was able to get a few more contacts for Star Wars Memorabilia; not to mention a few neat items for my own collection:

I got a signed photo from Ray Park (Darth Maul) even though he was on his way out the door (thank God for that big crowd, or I would have missed him) :D

I tried to get a couple of copies of R2D2 Beneath the Dome; but alas, was only able to get two :(

And a guy sold me his Darth Vader Helmet and Chestpiece (which were both made from fiberglass!! :) a real deal kind of prop).

Again I apologize, and I hope to update this thread within the week.

Hope you guys had a wonderful Christmas ; and I will see you all in the New Year!!!!

    Toys R US: Vancouver, Broadway

    Sighting:
    - 25th aniversary: 9.98 or 9.99 compared to 25 bucks!!; plenty of Luke and Leias, one han and chewie left

    - 2 Ki-Adi Mundi's (grabbed one myself)
    - Couple of Palpatines
    - One Anakin Hangar Duel (very poorly painted)

and the basic assortment of figures that seem to always be on the shelf all, 7.99

Bittersweet day for me today, besides finding the Anakin I so want, but finding it so crappily painted,.. Also a Count Dooku! but the paint job wasn't even better, so poorly painted, it looked like he was giving a sad clown frown with half an eyebrow missing and the clown had only one eye!! [face_laugh] :( :_| But this one i had to get, i've been looking for him too long,... i said to myself-- just keep in the package, just keep in package, and find one quickly within 90 days! -- feels like if i still haven't gotten him yet :(

oh, and one request to Antonio,.. when you update the first message in this thread,.. is it called the holocron,.. is it possible to add the date of edit to the title of this thread? so you can see the date of that update when you click on the first link in the vancouver board page?

Hi, everyone. :D I was at the Toys R? Us on Lougheed Highway yesterday, and they had the following in 3 3/4 Inch Figures: Han Solo ? Endor Raid (two), Orn Free Taa, Tusken Female & Child, Captain Typho (three), Saesee Tiin, Dexter Jettster (one), Anakin Skywalker - Outland Peasant Disguise (two), Padme Amidala - Arena Escape (three), Luke Skywalker - Bespin Duel (five), Darth Vader - Bespin Duel (two), Mace Windu - Geonosian Rescue (three). And I bought one of each of the latter three figures for my little brother. :)

In terms of Deluxe Figures, they had Obi-Wan Kenobi w/Force Flipping Action, C-3PO w/Droid Factory Assembly Line, and Anakin Skywalker w/Lightsaber Slashing Action.

Also, I?m in the market for Obi-Wan Kenobi's Jedi Starfighter - 2 Attack Modes and Obi-Wan Kenobi - Jedi Starfighter Pilot. If anyone sees these, I would be much obliged if you drop me a line via post or PM. ;)
That was an awesome update, Antonio; well done. Also, thank you for all your hard work. ;)

Oh, and before I forget, here are some links for the initial post of this thread:

    1. Hasbro - Star Wars.

    2. TF.N - Collecting.

    3. RebelScum.

?Keep those questions, suggestions, comments, and violent reactions coming...?

Something that I have been thinking about is possibly taking digital photos of our Chapter?s collectors and their assembled collections for our website. This what many of our fellow compatriots back East have done like CrazyMike of FF Toronto. I?m currently in the market for a digital camera, so this idea is definitely doable. Anyways, it?s just a thought. :)

Not at all, CrazyMike. ;) In fact, it?s a distinct honour to have you stop by our humble FF Vancouver Board. [face_blush] Welcome to Tipoca City! :D

Okay CrazyMike, I have to ask the big question that is probably on everyone?s lips right now: amongst your vast collection of SW memorabilia, what is your most prized possession?
Jedi_Ulic_Qel-Droma: ?I got a signed photo from Ray Park (Darth Maul) even though he was on his way out the door (thank God for that big crowd, or I would have missed him).?

That?s so awesome, Antonio. Do you have anymore autographed SW memorabilia?
This is my one thousandth post! I?m so glad it was here in Tipoca City with all of you! :D Woot!

    Yup, I have the following:

    David Prowse (Darth Vader)
    Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker)
    James Earl Jones (Darth Vader)
    Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia)
    Frank Oz (Yoda)
    Samuel L. Jackson (Mace Windu)
    Warwick Davies (Wicket)
    Kenny Baker (R2D2)
Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett) - my favorite!! :)
    Ray Park (Darth Maul)
    Jake Lloyd (Young Anakin)
    Sir Alec Guinness 2x (Obi-Wan) - 1 photo and 1 Gamecard

And one of the best: An 8x10 photo with the cast signed by: Kenny Baker, Anthony Daniels, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew, and Harrison Ford. (I still have no idea how my uncle got this for me)

    Hope this answers your question.
