Collecting Forum Banner Contest!

A couple of people have suggested in the "How to make the Collecting forum a better place" thread that we should have our own unique collecting forum banner. I just think that is a great idea. So we are going to have a contest, open to anyone who posts in this forum, to design a banner. The deadline for submissions will be November 11th. You will send your banner submissions to me at MaraJade@SanDiegoStarWars.com. I will keep anonymous the names of the people who created each banner, that way the winner is judged for the quality of their design, rather than this turning into another popularity contest.

WINNER OF THE BANNER CONTEST WILL RECEIVE A 25th ANNIVERSARY R2D2 Silver Figure!

The dimensions of the banner are as follows:

Main banner image - 764 x 110
Main Background image - 764 x 110
Curve image - 69 x 69
Side Bar image - 32 x 465

I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

EDIT: The contest deadline was pushed back one week per request by Administration, to allow more people to enter the contest. Also, the winner of the banner contest will recieve VIP status and a title.

You shoulda said "you *will* send your banner submissions..." I have a good idea for one but I don't have any way of making it. I have photoshop but never really used it.

BTW MJF, Do we need words Collecting & Jedi Council, or just Collecting?
And Sorry to ask about this Again, but Is Background image white area just below banner? (I seem to be having a block)

LGM you needs the words jedicouncil and then collecting a little bigger something like that look at lit and youll see a good example!

^We should have only one entry per person. You can make several, but choose the one you want to submit for the contest.

Well i'm still just starting...Getting there though, Fat's a genious with photoshop...we shall have to wait and see what comes out.

 

I pretty much have all of my front banner, side and corner done. I just need to do some additions, and tweaking now. I still don't have much of an idea for my back banner. I had some trouble lining the corner up with the banner, so it looks a tad messy, but nothing serious. I think I have a little bit of everything for pictures...

PS: Is it really fair to have people team up?
