A thread for discussing the retirements of Athletes that doesn't warrant it's own thread, but deserves to be noted.

Maurice Greene retired today. Greene was the former 100m world record holder and the person who went under the 10 sec barrier more than any other sprinter (52 times), as well as the Sydney 2000 gold medal. Unlike most in his sport, he seems to be untainted by drugs, a seeming rarity in today's athletics.
