Do we have a set-in-stone meet time and place?? And a nice map so that those who've never been know what's what and where's where? :D

Made a map from train station to the MK Shopping centre -

    [image=http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m309/timbolton/FFUK_Milton_Keynes/MK_01.jpg]

This [link=http://www.thecentremk.com/Stores.aspx]page[/link] has a link on there to a pfd map file - [link=http://www.thecentremk.com/Img/Summer%20Shoppers%20Guide%20Full%20Map.pdf]MK Centre pdf[/link]

Using the above pdf - If you look on that you can see the big John Lewis at the far right, the Early Learning Centre is just below (on the map) from the John Lewis store. If you are coming from the train station (which is a straight walk along Midsummer Bouvelard), you'll enter the MK Centre from left between the outside wallks of M&S and GAP. Go into the MK Centre by entrances at the Halifax or Cheltenham & Gloucester and turn right at the Midsummer arcade, straight down to the John Lewis store. When you can see JL store, the actual convention area is on your left in front of it.

Anyone attending who thinks they'll have problems, PM me with either your moby details or request mine (that way you only ring/text me if you need me).

I think 12pm (noon) meet is fine, the orginal idea was to get some food and have a mini picnic, let's see if Serena still thinks that is a good idea. And we'll see the convention too.

Oh! I am staying till 7pm now since I checked again and there is a train going then, so I can go eat somewhere at 5pm ish.

Glen reminded me, so I'm here.

12pm meet sounds fine to me.

Glen also reminded me I said I'd hit him next time I saw him

Meeting at Noon and going for a mini picnic sounds good to me. Shall we meet outside Next again or are we serious about meeting at the ELC?? :p
Next might be easier to spot for newbies, although both are pretty good meeting points.

I'm not entirely sure of my plans yet, but I may join you for dinner Tim as I plan to stick around for most of the day.

    *hides*

    :p

Um, well, I can't remember where Next is :p Unless it's right next to ELC and I'm getting amnesia :p

Next is the opposite side to where the ELC is. Either one is fine I think, so if ELC is easier to remember then we can go for that one (it's also the side where the SM organizer booth/station is, not sure if that helps or why I'm even mentioning it, just felt the need to :p ).

Oh, now do I get Heather's from Highlander autograph or Deep Roy's (assuming he has a Yoda photo)?? Jamie, what do you think??

Oh yes, whether anyone will stick to it remains to be seen :p

I still recall last time we were meeting at 11 I think, and I turned up then & waited about 20 minutes before anyone arrived.

So don't you lot be doing it again, it makes you look bad, especially if I end up getting there before the people who actually live in MK do :p

I seem to recall someone (Possibly Princess_Liar) mentioned something about free parking areas and that it was fairly close to the centre. I've been through this thread and can't find it, so any help to re-jig my memory would be most welcome, thanks :)

A party has also been announced for Showmasters forum members on Saturday night [face_peace]

There's free parking down by John Lewis, Xscape and in the car park opposite next right at the far side and in the mazey bit. You have to get there really really early to even hope you might find a space though. Got there at 8am and its been full before.

I think meeting outside next is easier, as last time the area where ELC is is VERY crowded. Next is a little further back from the action so its less full of people.

im only going to be able to stay with you guys for about an hour, from 12pm meeting up till 1pm. i have family with me so i cant make them amuse themselves for hours like last time.

good to see the gang again, last meet for me was the midlands birthday.

Thanks for the parking tips Serena :)
I usually park by the Xscape and it costs a few quid, but I'll look harder for the free parking bays around that area.

I agree Rob, Next is better suited for a meeting point, plus a bit more respectable ;)

Jamie, Helen Slater/Supergirl has cancelled (yet again) :(
Deep Roy is Sunday only, so I have no choice now but bonnie heathers was always my main preference ;)
.....although the Rancor Keeper has also just been announced which will make this his first ever signing  :D

Free parking spaces have green lines in front of them, standard rate have purple lines (25p per hour), and premium rate have red lines (£1 per hour).

[link=http://www.mkweb.co.uk/parkingmap/]This map[/link] shows where the different areas are.

Excellent map, thanks very much :D
I remember my first Collectormania back in 2002 and all parking was free. Those were the glory days, hehe. But 25p p/hr ain't bad either. I usually arrive in a rush due to traffic but now I have no stall commitments I can affrod to take my time a bit with parking.

Just be aware of how hard spaces are to find, even on saturdays. I got there at 1pm once and had to use a red space. And that was on a normal saturday... We had to chase people holding shopping bags around in the past to find one :p

Fear not, I aim to get there for around 9-9:30am so I should be okay for parking spaces. I'm well versed in this sort of thing as Bluewater can have the same probelms despite the thousands of parking spaces available.

Looking forward to the show :D
There was a rumour that the Aston Matrin from Casino Royale may be there, seeming as the Aston Martin factory is near-by, it's a Bond reunion theme and the Casino Royale release is just round the corner. Not sure if it'll happen now as it seems a bit late in the day, but would have been very nice.

Iv'e never had any problems with parking. I get there at about 10:15 everytime I go and park across the road from the actuall event wihtin 3 mins of getting into MK.

Although they are premium spaces, but i dont care, my dad or uncle drives and i pay for parking. good arangment, iv always got spare pound coins lol

    So, is it official now?

    12pm outside next?
