    Good day today :)

South Carolina broke out the bats as Justin Dalles and Adam Matthews each homered twice and Blake Cooper worked his way out of a bunch of jams as East Carolina turned 10 hits and 2 walks in the first five innings into... zero runs. Cooper ended up going the distance, saving the bullpen for tomorrow (CuJo, Curtis Johnson, went two innings yesterday but is the only Gamecock reliever who has pitched in the regional). All in all, a 12-2 victory for the garnet and black.

FSU took care of Georgia 8-2 behind a great start by freshman Sean Gilmartin, who has had a very impressive season. Doubly nice win since my mom's a Georgia alum :p

Also, Clemson lost to Oklahoma State (the team everyone was saying shouldn't be in the tourney at all) and Alabama was eliminated by Tennessee Tech. I'll take those games, too.

South Carolina led almost the entire night... and loses. Clemson trails almost the entire night... and wins. Bah. [face_frustrated]

However, watching FSU beat the tar out of Ohio State was fun. A 32-0 lead in the fifth and a final score of 37-6... wow. I've never seen anything like it. FSU scored 8 in the first (leadoff batter Tyler Holt came up to bat for a second time in the first inning before OSU even managed to record a single out), then tacked on 9 in the third, and 11 in the fifth, setting a school record for doubles in a game - in the third inning.

I'd like to see the ERA numbers for OSU for "before regional" and "after regional" :p

Rice vs. LSU on ESPN in primetime!!!

I love when college baseball starts getting national attention. Too bad it only comes in the postseason.

Clemson loses game 1 7-4 to ASU.
    game 2 tonight at 10 on ESPN2.

I was surprised to see FSU get beat 2 straight by the Razorbacks.

Yeah, the first FSU game was about 8 hours long including the rain delays. Ugly way to start an ugly series. [face_frustrated]

Of the teams left I do not want to see, LSU, Texas or CS-Fullerton to win.

Sorry but I have way to many family members who are big LSU fans. It's torture to go down there sometimes and hear about the greatness of LSU. Their own fans turned me against them.

Nice win for Arizona State :)

I'd love to see Southern Miss upset Texas... though it doesn't look likely at the moment.

EDIT: and as I say that, Southern Miss takes the lead!

EDIT2: what a game! SMU takes the lead in the top of the 8th, Texas regains the lead in the bottom half, then SMU ties it back up in the top of the ninth!

Texas is getting owned by Arizona State right now. LOL. Not much of a baseball fan, but I do enjoy the CWS when it comes around every year. Not sure what's up with the Horns right now, but I don't mind. It's entertaining to see them getting beat up on a little bit, even at the bottom of the third. :p

EDIT: lol... and here they go! Tied at the top of the fourth!
